Summer's mistakes

4|Can't we go back? {edited}

Hiya y'all , Val takes a stand after keeping her emotions bottled up. Enjoy :) ______________________________________________________________________________________________

These past few days I've been ignoring Aleah and Andrew as if they're the plague. This hasn't stopped him from coming over with Aleah and saying shit through my bedroom door. And guess what it gets better, he moved in with us in the same room just like before he left. Well now, his friends now live in his old apartment.

I've been waking up early just to cook myself breakfast and take a shower without bumping in either of them. Every time Andrew tries to approach me in school Jasmine always steps up telling to fuck off before she beats his ass. Today it would have been 3 years and just my luck I woke up late, well I'm early but now I'll have to see Andrew and Aleah. I took a shower and got changed feeling drained.

Thanks, I woke up late so I'm gonna have to see his face and today of all days

That sucks boo, make sure to grab something to eat tho, if your really not hungry I'll buy us something to eat, it's on me.

I unlocked my door and entered the living area to see Aleah and Andrew both sat down enjoying breakfast. I walked past them and into the kitchen pretending not to even see them and grabbed a yoghurt and some orange juice and poured it in a glass.

"Come sit with us please, Val." Aleah pleaded with me. I could tell she had been quite upset that I had been ignoring her lately and it had felt weird not to talk to her but I wondered if she's actually been missing me or just my presence. All the same, I drank my orange juice and sat down on the table next to Aleah with Andrew opposite.

"Three years today isn't?" Aleah said trying to start a conversation.

"Nope, we broke up Aleah," I said uninterested and started eating my yoghurt.

"Val," He tried to place his hand over mine which was laying on the table, I moved my hand away and placed it on my lap. "Can't we go back to the way we were?"

I was done with this shit, I looked him right in the eyes. "Look I know that this must be a little hard for you to understand since you were dumb enough to cheat. Once a cheater always a cheater you took the opportunity to cheat on me, so you'll do it again in a heartbeat. I may have been that gullible girl who you thought would always come back to like a puppy waiting for its owner but I'm not it try someone else."

You dumbass I trusted you, I loved you I gave you my all. But you don't love me and that shit fucking hurts

He and Aleah exchanged shocked looks, like what were they expecting me to pretend all this never happened well fuck that. "You know what fucking pissed me off even more? You had the audacity to lie to me like I ain't straight. If you're gonna fuck some other girl at least admit it. If you ain't got the balls, do us all a favour keep it in your pants." I then slammed my hands on the table "Now stop pretending, I ain't playing with you go play with her since I wasn't worth the while. Stop trying to get back with me and before you say I said let's take a break not break up. I agree except my break from you will last forever. Hope she was worth it!"

Without thinking twice I stood up threw what was left of my yoghurt at him before leaving and slamming the door as I exited. I rushed out just about holding my tears I saw Jasmine and she immediately knew what was up. She walked with me and the moment we walked around the corner out of sight I dropped to the floor. "Jasmine I did it, I told him everything and that'll never get back with him."

"Well done girl that took a lot of guts." She hugged me.

"I know I did the right thing, but why does my heart fucking ache it feels like someone stabbed me and left me to blead out." I sobbed holding my chest.

"It's because no matter how much you wanna deny it or forget you loved him and love doesn't disappear that easily. Just know you did the right thing stay strong okay boo."

I wiped my tears away and smiled at her,"Thank you, I know we've only been friends a while but you are an amazing friend, for once I know you'll stick with me."

"Yeah you did, but I did too! I need someone who is real, who doesn't act fake around me and understands that I'll be there for them." She then helped me to my feet and handed me tissues. I whipped my face before walking to school.

We got there and we did all our lessons she managed to keep a smile on my face most of the day but at times I would catch him flirting with some of his girl friends. The fact, that he was flirting didn't hurt me but I couldn't help but wonder what they had that I didn't.

"Jas be honest with me what am I lacking?" I asked looking at m hands.

She just scoffed and looked Andrew up and down. "Valentina you are not lacking anything you are pretty, bold, funny, loud but quite and an amazing best friend. I know that we have only been friends for a while but you are the best friend I've always wanted and the way Aleah treats you, gets me pissed off."

I looked at her and once again she had brought a smile to my face "Thanks Jas, I have never had a best friend like you, you know how to bring a smile to my face better than anyone else can."

"He must be stupid! He threw you away for those hoes who are practically screaming for attention."

I burst out laughing and so did Jas. But then we saw Andrew get up from his seat with Aleah and sit on our table right opposite us. "Is this seat taken?" Aleah asked while sitting down. 

Why ask then?

"Yes it is sorry," I replied to her these past few days she hasn't cared about me. She's been with her other friends living life so why put on the act now. Wait by any chance is she practising her acting skills on us?

"Val..." He started and Jasmine wasn't having it.

"Man your side hoes are over there waiting to leave poor Val alone. Go get some over there."

By know, the cafeteria had gone silent and normally I would have run away because I didn't like peoples eyes on me but Jasmine has brought out the real me.

"Don't speak to my brother like that, our affairs have nothing to do with you!" Aleah shouted.

I stood up and slammed my hands on the table in anger. "What did she do wrong she just stated the facts that Andrews the schools fuck boy. So sorry hun but that is her affair, everyone's for that matter." There was a mixture of laughter and gasps.

Even Jasmine looked at me slightly surprised but that shock was soon replaced with pride. I could tell she was genuinely proud of me and I was proud of myself too, though I didn't even know what I was saying I was overflown with frustration. But I hadn't finished yet. "And Andrew can't you just fuck off, just get in someone else's pants." The laughter and gasps got louder but this time there was a few claps from people who did not like Andre and Aleah. I grabbed my things and Jasmine caught on and did the same and we left the cafeteria.

"Bitch, you were on fire." She laughed, we then high fived and walked to business class.
