Summer's mistakes

27| My little angle

Time flew, I would spend most of my time watching things on Netflix, and when I wasn't doing that, I was doing yoga. Jasmine goes to work 4 times a week for about 3 hours. When she's not working she's cooking or baking (her cakes are the best.) I and Jasmine were watching Disney movies.

"I just love Mulan." She said happily once we had finished the first one.

"Find the second one, I'll get some snacks," I said while standing up. I suddenly felt a popping sensation and a fluid trick down my leg. "Jas my water broke," I said holding my stomach.

"Okay," She said calmly switching off the t.v and grabbing the baby bag (which I had made sure to pack beforehand) from in the corner. She grabbed the keys. "Let's go to the car." She unlocked the door. "Go ahead, give me second."

I nodded as she unlocked the car and went inside. She came out with another bag. She put them into the back and got in. "You okay?" She asked.

"Ye, " I closed my eyes and started to take deep breaths, instead of doing what my mind was doing, freaking out. I heard the clicking of her seat belt and she started the engine. Once we got to the hospital it all became a rush. 

About 30 minutes later, being told to push by a doctor and two nurses."Push," The doctor said for like the seventh time I was clearly doing my best. 

Jasmine held my hand."Go go on Val, you can do it." She said supportively. I pushed with all my might letting out a small scream as I did so. "Well done Valentina." She said as the nurses held my baby doing all the proper procedures.

Within seconds my little baby let out a cry, I smiled happily and looked at her beautiful face. 

Jasmine rummages through the bag that I had and gave me her a dummy and took out a pink blanket. I wrapped her in the blanket and he sucked on the dummy. {I had brought a blue blanket as well.}

"Hello Talika," I smiled, she looked at me with big eyes getting used to her surrounding.

"I see you've already chosen a name for her," The doctor smiled and I nodded. "Well we'll leave now, call if you need anything." I nodded at him and the other two nurses a small smile.

"Jasmine come and hold her," I said to her she gently took her out of my hands at first she cried but then Jasmine started talking to her.

"Don't cry, it's only aunty Jasmine." She said smiling and rocking her in her arms. Before I knew it she was fast asleep, Jasmine put her into her crib and wrapped her in her blanket. "You okay?" She asked me.

"Ye, just exhausted," I smiled at her.

"She looks a lot like you."

"I'm not sure." I laughed looking at her sleeping face.

"What's in the bag you brought?" I asked curiously.

"Clothes for you and your slippers your gonna be here a few days might as well make it comfortable."

"Thanks," I said tearing up.

Jasmine then hugged me, "We can't blame this on your hormones the baby is out." She laughed.

"Yes we can, after effects," I replied.

"I'll leave you to sleep I'll come back later." She smiled at me before letting go and walking towards the door.

"Bye Jas," I said closing my eyes. My little girl Talika Hazelwood was born on July 18 th. The same date as my dad. I let myself drift to sleep feeling indescribably happy.

5 months later

Talika was asleep in her car seat as Jas drove us to our new home. "I'm so excited," I said happily making sure not to wake Tali up.

"Ye me too, I can't believe that I've already been offered a job as a modelling manager." She beamed.

"Look at all the lights that people have put on their houses," I said looking out the window.

"I know I'm so proud of you," I smiled Jas had always been an amazing model but when she got manager she was over the moon she said that she felt like as much as she loved modelling, she doesn't think she could handle all the spotlight.

"When you gonna start working?" Jas asked me.

"Well I'll wait a bit I wanna spend as much time with Tali as possible. And I want to find her a trustworthy nanny."

"That will be a piece of cake." Jas smiled. "I have a childhood friend her and she's an amazing nanny."

"Are you talking about Tasha?" I asked. Her and Jasmine talk on the phone a lot I think she's coming to see us next week, I can't wait to meet her!

"Yeah," She nodded.

"If Tasha is up to it, that would be amazing I really need to have a few hours to myself. " I said.

Jasmine laughed "Doesn't everyone?"

I continued to look at the outstanding decorations outside. Christmas has always been my favourite holiday. The time of year that families and friends all meet to share tales and meals. "Jas it's your Birthday come on let me drive." I pleaded with her.

"No I like driving and birthdays aren't a big deal," She said giving me a smile.

"Who said that?" I asked.

"You on your 20 th, remember you refused to celebrate getting older." She laughed. Making cross my arms though right now I was being a hypocrite. But my birthday is August the 1st and I just wasn't feeling it that day.

"Hey, Christmas is around the corner get into the festive spirit," I said just then Talika woke up.

"Hello, Tali." I smiled and she smiled back. I am so blessed to have her she doesn't cry much and she always seems to be smiling and laughing though she has her days especially when she's toothing but she's a little angel.

She woke up and let out a little cry,  "Aww Talika are you hungry?" I rummaged in my bag before placing a bottle of milk in her mouth which she happily drank as I continued to hold it still for her.

"When will you have kids?" I asked Jas while feeding Tali.

"I don't want any, I'm not ready and I never will be." She said concentrating on the road.

"Jas you got it all wrong you'll never be ready for kids they're are a blessing and blessings come when they are needed not when they're wanted. Plus you are amazing with Talika, sometimes she seems to like you more them me." 

"Well, maybe you're right but now isn't the time maybe when the right man comes."

"You never know he might be closer then you think." I said looking out into the night.
