School finished and I and Jas left for work.
"Should we catch a bus I mean we have time?" I asked.
"Let's just walk and enjoy the cold air against our cheeks." She said as a cold breeze hit our faces.
Jas works in a CD and music shop and I work in the book store next door. We have break time around the same time but today my boss has asked me to work extra time. I said yes but I'm not confident enough to go home by myself at such a late hour.
I sighed heavily. "What's up babes?"Jas asked.
"I don't wanna go home by myself at that late hour." I sighed knowing I could call Aleah or Andrew to pick me up but quite frankly I didn't want to. "Just come by mine, girl I've got two empty rooms my roommates moved out a while ago."
I looked at her with an are you sure look and she nodded at me "Thanks, Jas."
"No problem, I normally finish that late in general got a rent of 3 people to pay." I looked at her sympathetically.
We then had a discussion homework. Like we do school work, homework and actually work. I understand that homework is needed but why so much. I have to write a 5,000 word easy. All about a woman who murdered her husband after 5 years of being physically abused should she be charged for murder or manslaughter. The answer is ...
I don't have a clue, help me? I mean yes but no ... law is hard
"So how are you and Andrew?" She asked.
"I have been ignoring him but he keeps repeating that he didn't cheat but when I've been in my room I've heard him speaking to the same girl I heard that day. The amount of time they chat together and the way they speak to each other seems a bit much for 'friends'."
"How about Aleah?" She asked.
"We are good terms but we've lost the best friend vibe these days she seems to be with Ray and I'm with you most of the time."
"Of course you are, I'm amazing." She smiled.
"Amazingly cooky seems more like it Jas." I laughed.
"What can I say bitch just loves herself." She then laughed along with me.
"Ye, a bit too much that your ego is radiated into nearly every sentence," I replied.
"Well, that's me Val, Jasmine your best bitch." She then flicked me on my forehead and ran like lightning away from me.
"Jasmine." I laughed "Bitch, get your ass here right now." I ran after her like a madman.
Before we knew it we were by work {and early since we ran the whole way here but seeing as we are both quite athletic it didn't have any effect on us.}
"Bye boo," Jas waved as she entered the CD shop.
"Bye Jas." I waved back as I walked into the book store. I loved working in the book store a variety of age ranges will come in and with different tastes and it always has a calm quiet atmosphere that I myself can read and study in peace.
"Val you're here that means I can go now, right," Lilian asked. She's a nice high school student who happens to be an athletic person who loves to hit the books.
"No, you still have 3 more minutes." I teased.
"Val, I have practice today tho," She pouted.
"I was joking go to practice, my good child." I ruffled her hair and she sighed deeply.
