I put the woman into a trance for a while longer. Shikamaru said we had to begin planning who to deal with the Toshiki Clan quickly.
"We should secure the borders" Sai said.
"Shouldn't we confront the Toshiki clan first?" Lee asked.
"No, because they would never listen to us. They're anti-leaf-village" I pointed out.
"Yumi has a point" Sakura agreed.
"We'll split up and take a different side of the village borders" Shikamaru told us. We headed outside and slit up. I headed out to the west side of the border, sat down and began to meditate. Searching forward with my chakra. I didn't sense anything, nothing. Not the slightest clue that the enemy was around.

Sai:

"Ninja art, super beast scroll" I said as I whipped out a fresh scroll and a brush.  The mice I drew sprung up and darted out into the southern side of the forest. I made the tiger hand sign. 'If they find the enemy I'll know' I thought. I waited, and watched through the eyes of the well-drawn mice. Nothing. I made the tiger, ram, then tiger handsign, "release" I whispered. The mice quickly returned, lay down on the scroll, and flattened down into nothing more than a drawn-mouse.

Naruto:

"mmm" I mummered. I looked around left, right, up, down, behind, and still nothing. 'I'll be the first to spot the enemy' I thought. I was on high-alert. Nothing was going to suprise me! A twig snapped.

"Ahh! The enemy" I yelped throwing a few shuriken at the location the twig snapped. 'THEN ENEMY!!! Oh my gosh! Should I call the others?' I wondered. I was freaking out now. From the tree fell a small bird.

"Oh no!" I exclaimed running up to it. Fortunatenyl, well unfortunant for me, if flew back up and began to hit me with it's beak and wings.

"Ow, ow, ow! I'm sorry!" I fell over covering my head as it flew off into the forest. I rubbed my head, my sore head. There were little spots were you could tell the birds beak had repeatedly hit me. 'Aw man, Sakura and Yumi are going to be laughing or they'll kill me for acting reckless' I thought grimly.

Shikamaru:

I sat on the ground, making the tiger hand sign. I could detect most of the shadows nearby from the trees. Nothing there, nothing over there. My eyes opened and I whirled around. No, it was just a small rodent. I sat back down. 'Calm down Shikamaru. Stay alert, but there's no need to be so nervous' I told myself. I took a deep breath and sighed. Remaking the tiger hand sign I stretched out with my senses, tryign to sense the Toshiki clan.

Sakura:

Lee was pacing back from around his post towards mine.

"You really should just stay at your post" I told him.

"Perhaps, but I can cover more ground like this. This is good exercise, too." He said enthusiasticly. I sighed, 'Give me a break, I'm glad to just sit here' I thought. I had yet to see or even hear the enemy, the Toshiki Clan. 'Maybe they gave up' I sligthly hopped. My eyelids drooped a bit, I was tired, very tired... so tired, like beyond tired...

My head shot up. What was I doing? About to sleep on the job? Loud snoring caught my attention, Lee had fallen asleep. I was about to smack him, but then when did Lee fall asleep on a job? 'Something not right' I realized. Dandelions were floating through the air. I gasped, made the tiger handsign.
