I fought against Nomiki. My claws clashed with a dull thud against her ice-kuni-knife. I lept back, but as I did so while in mid-air Nomiki spat out a spray of ice needles.
"Tsuga!" Kiba exclaimed. He spun, missed Nogushi, but nocked the ice-needles away.
"Kiba look out!" I exclaimed. Akamaru and Kiba both narrowly dodged Nogushi's ice-spear. 'Kiba's too distracted trying to defend me' I thought bitterly.
"I can handle myself Kiba" I snapped without meaning too. He nodded once, and once again dodged Nogushi's attack before jumping into fang passing fang with Akamaru.
"Ice Dome Prision!" I yelled and began forming a dome of ice around Nomiki. The ice was forming quickly, surrounding her body.
"Huh!" she exclaimed as a dozen needles surrounding her body shot out. The ice-needles shot right through the ice dome, cracking it, and flew out towards me. I was about to jump out of the way, when a rough body pushed me out. The sound of fabric tearing and blood reached my senses.
"Carefull" Kiba told me. The shoulder of his jacket had been torn, and one ice-needle had just barely pierced his shoulder. Again Kiba launched into baddle. Komiki jumped down from a tree branch to the ground.
"What is he? Your boyfriend? How pathetic that you have to rely on others to defend you and fight your own battles for you" she sneered, a triumphant grin on her face. I gritted my teeth angrily, and heard a cat hiss in the back of my mind. 'You can not win without my power. Release me from this prision and I shall win' the Matatabi hissed. 'Yeah right, I won't let you win. I'm going to win' I thought stubbornly pushing the cat-demon's thoughts away. I could handle myself! I continued to fight, fight, fight, and finaly Kiba took it that I could handle myself, though I could sense his doubts. My sleeve, which never had been sewned, was in shreds. I ripped off the sleeve, and tossed it aside. I was going to be in serious need of a shopping spree by the ened of this.
I landed on a tree branch, panting. I needed to end this, my chakra was running low.
"Striking shadow snake!" I yelled. Snakes shot out of my still-good sleeve towards Nomiki. She ducked, dodged, and swerved away from the snakes jaws.
"Ice style, ice dragon!" she exclaimed. A large dragon made of ice formed and she road on top of it. She drove it towards me. I jumped up to a higher tree branch, but it moved another way taking me by suprise. I was knocked backwards, and my back hit a tree making a dent form. The force of being thrown so hard knocked the wind out of me. I felt like I couldn't breathe when I felt a hand slap my back, and suddenly I could breath again. I coughed hard and unsteadily stood up. The sound of metal clashing against metal reached my ears. The sound snapped me back to my senses. My claws which had shrunk down to nails, lengthened again as chakra flowed down into my hands.
"You don't have to defend me Kiba. I can handle it" I said through my teeth. I braced myself for Nomiki who was jumping through the trees towards me, her hands moving quickly into hand signs. 'Could I handle the battle?' I thought. I shook the thought away and lunged towards Nomiki. It suddenly came to me, as we my claws clashed with ice, that we'd been pushed back closer to the wall of the village. I could here out comrads fighting other members of the Tooshiki clan. 'I need to push them back away from the village' I thought as I dodged a rain of ice-needles. 'But you can't' thought Matatabi, the cat demon. 'You can't defend yourself because your weak' it thought. I shook my head, trying to force its thoughts away. I felt something whizz by, and something sticky on my shoulder. I gritted my teeth and pulled out the ice-needle in my shoulder. I snapped it easily, but part of the cold needle remained in the wound.
