Madelyn's POV
________________

As I woke up in my room of my spruce wood house, I lied in bed for a minute. I couldn't go back to sleep at all. All I could hear was crashing noises and screaming. I saw bright lights outside my window from where I could see laying down. It kept me awake and I could not close my eyes even for a minute; so I got up and looked. It was fire, a nearby village was on fire. Among the destruction, there were monsters all around killing those innocent villagers as I saw people fighting.

It was mobs against humans in the fight for their life. Sadly, the villagers were unprepared as most of the people from my town were trying to back them up. They were coming in with everything they had.

Creepers exploded, leaving huge craters in the ground. Skeletons shot at the fighters as they were doing their best to dodge and deflect the arrows. Zombies were tearing at the flesh of the ones who have fallen behind. I watched as the humans were being torn apart and the iron golems were smashed into bits of iron and vines.

Me? I'm not exactly human. Name's Madelyn. I am a grey wolf hybrid. My ears still have it's brown fur. It isn't exactly grey yet. It really depends on my age. I am 14 years old and I really haven't changed yet. I let my yellow eyes glow for better light of the fight.

One by one, humans started to retreat to wherever they could find as decent cover to heal and continue the fight. They didn't have the upper hand. Others had built redstone contraptions to barricade themselves from explosions. They were being beaten horribly and had nowhere to run.

I wanted to act, so I grabbed food and my diamond sword and left the house. I didn't want to wake the neighbors, so I was quick. I was on all fours in the yard until I reached the end of the fence. Then, brushing off my capris jeans, I sprinted to the site of the invasion.

I arrived at the village and it was vacant. All the villagers were dead and I saw some people hiding. Broken armor and weapons were scattered everywhere as shards of iron, stone, gold, and diamond lined the battlefield. I stepped over the corpses, everything smelling of rotting flesh. I felt as if I was gonna be sick. I looked around as the others in hiding were looking at me like I was crazy. I was reluctant, but ready to fight.

"Hello?" I called. "Anyone confident enough to face me?"

There was no answer. All I saw were skeletons, creepers, and zombies. Well, that was stupid of me.

"What!?" I said to myself. "I thought this village was vacant.... Oh whatever."

Knowing I might not have an upper hand, I pulled out my diamond sword and hoped for the best. I ran at the zombies and creepers as they were ready to continue their attack. One zombie limped its way towards me with a wooden sword enchanted with knockback. I kept a fair distance and used my agile abilities to work my way around it and dismember its sword-wielding arm. Not long after, in one swift move, I sliced its body in half as the top half slid right off before falling limp to the ground.

Then, five other zombies decided to circle around me as well as a creeper. As I was backing up, I stepped on a shard of iron. It wasn't just any shard of iron. It was flint and steel, which seemed to have one light left. I looked around for the creeper which was faster than the zombies circling me. I had a feeling that it was gonna explode right next to me once it got close.

"Huh, you guys again." I spat. "I can never get a break because of you."

Knowing this, I had a plan. I was standing in an athletic position to execute it perfectly. I waited until they all got fairly close. This could cost me my life. I took a breath, waiting for them to get as close as possible to me.
