Chapter 27 - Life

Eileen's POV

I swear she was breathing, because she started mumbling. We all gathered around to see if the potion really worked.

"Are you sure your prediction is correct?" I asked.

Samantha nodded, fiddling with her dagger. "I'm sure of it. I swear."

"There's only one way to find out."

She looked at me. "Wait. How long have you known her?"

I replied. "Well, I remember seeing her around the town, but I've only officially met her after Herobrine and an army of mobs attacked a neighboring village. He saw something that almost matched his, well, skillset."

She laughed. "Well, that's part mob for you. She's good like that."

Madelyn's POV

Light replaced the darkness and soon, I was breathing.

Suddenly, I heard a voice. "She's alive!" It was Garrett.

"I knew it." This time, it was Sam.

"What the hell. It worked!" I heard Caitlin.

"God damn. Freaking amazing!" Eileen chirped.

Then I started mumbling and soon I could formulate words again. "Guys?"

Then I heard Garrett again. "Madelyn!!"

"Garrett, is that you?" I managed to force out.

"Yes it's me." He said as I felt tears stream down the sides of my face.

I heard Eileen heckle at the fact he was getting so mushy. "Ha. You think you're so slick."

He seemed to ignore because he just went on. "I can't believe you are alive and I also want to tell you something."

He was about to say those three words, but I cut him off sitting up and giving him a warm hug. "I love you too."

"Son of a bitch." Eileen spat.

I cried, bursting into tears as I held onto him tighter. He responded by tightening his grip as well, but I could tell he was being cautious since I basically died.

I started donning into his shoulder. "I'm sorry. I had to risk my life just so he could leave us alone."

"But you saved my life." He replied. "That, I owe you one."

"I've been nothing but a complete asshole to you and you forgive me?"

"You were scared. I understand that. But every time I even tried to save your butt, you would somehow find a way to get annoyed at me."

"Yea, I felt like crap the whole time and I didn't know really how to approach you."

Eileen interrupted. "Yea, sorry to ruin the moment, but Herobrine's little sister is about to fuck things up. And we really can't get her attention. She kinda needs to know that you're basically revived. Well, so she doesn't umm, you know, burn down the entire freaking forest."

Cora's POV

That fucking son of a bitch. Thinks he can do whatever the fuck he wants. Well I got news for him. Imma send all the mobs after him.

My name was randomly called. "Cora!"

I ignored it.

"God damnit Cora. Just stop lighting things on fire for two seconds."

I turned around immediately with a ball of fire in my hand. Standing in front of me was Madelyn alive. Wait. She's ALIVE!! I froze as the fire extinguished around me. She just smiled and laughed a bit. She didn't seem phased.

"You done?" She asked.

I paused. "I guess so. It's just, how?!"

She chuckled. "Well, there's this one thing called a regeneration potion. And they brought me back to life. So, I think you can figure out the rest."

I couldn't help but smile. "God damnit, Madelyn."

"You know you love me, Cora." She chuckled.

"Oh shut up." I replied.

I gave her a tight hug. "You scared me. Really you did. I thought that son of a bitch killed you for good. What the hell Madelyn! Why did you fight him? Why the fuck did you fight him? You're not ready. Really, you're not. My brother is a relentless son of a bitch.

I walked with Madelyn over to the others. Garrett took her in his arms. She broke out laughing and put her hands on his shoulders.

"Well, isn't that adorable?" I exclaimed.

"Really Cora?" Her face turned red.

"Payback for dying on us." I replied defiantly.

"You really gave us quite a scare." Eileen added.

Sam nodded. "Dude, you gave me a heart attack."

"Yea, at least I had a good idea to keep you alive, so we don't all get KILLED!" Caitlin replied.

She looked around at all of us. "You know, I didn't want to die for you guys. I had no choice. I-"

Garrett didn't wait. "Oh shut up." she was cut off with a kiss.

My mouth dropped. I looked around me to see others' eyes widening. That just happened. I mean, that just happened.

She froze with a smile on her face. "Okay then."

"Whoa." I spat. "What the hell just happened?"

"You saw that too, right?" Eileen asked.

"Yup." Caitlin spat.

Sam just laughed. "Called it!"

Garret's POV

I couldn't believe it. She likes me too. I grabbed her arms and helped her regain her balance. That was a risky move after all.

"So, where were we?" I asked. "Revenge?"

"Yes." Madelyn replied, leaning into me. "Exactly."

I put my arm around her. "I missed you ya know."

She giggled. "Awe, really?"

I chuckled. "Hell yeah. Now let's finish this."

"I kinda need to get my sword by the way."

I looked back to see her diamond sword lying on the ground. "Haha. Right. You need that to fight."

"How else am I gonna bash his face in?"

"Touché."

She walked back, knelt down, and picked up her diamond sword. After she sheathed it, she caught up with me.
