Caitlin's POV
____________I was so relieved when I was finally free from the cage. Back before, I was kept in there for a year. I had little food and water to even barely survive. No one was with me.
So, we ran from the zombie dungeon. There were some following us. Madelyn's sword just broke after the zombie attack. So, we started dragging her towards the entrance to the cave.
"So, What happened to you?" Madelyn asked.
"Yea, how have you been in there and we never knew?" Garrett added.
"It was Herobrine who put me in there." I told them. "I had nothing but solitude."
"That stinks." Said Madelyn. "I am Herobrine's target. It all started one night. All I heard were explosions and screaming. I ran out there and took out the mobs that were causing the destruction. However, I didn't come back unscathed. A skeleton shot me in the arm as I was trying to get rid of them. Then I saw a boy in the back of the destruction with a scowl on his face. Herobrine was glaring at me with disgust. He now wants me dead."
I just stood there. "What?!" I said. "That's total BS!"
"I know. Right?" Madelyn said. "It's stupid. He said that I'm 'ruining his fun' but really, I'm saving the butts of many people."
"Ok, save it for outside. I know this is a reunion, but right now is not the time. We gotta get out of here." Garrett interrupted.
"Got it." Madelyn replied.
We ran out of the cave and blocked it up with the gates and wood bars as a barricade. We were finally outside.
.......
Madelyn's POV
_____________I breathed in the fresh air.
It feels good to be outside again.
I just wanted to just sit and rest. I sat down on the grass in total exhaustion. My sword was already collapsed in two. There was no use in repairing it. The next thing I knew, I realized it was only the three of us. Garrett and Caitlin were looking down at me. They were sweating, but I was just out of it.
"Does anyone want to stop at my house and rest for a couple hours?" I asked.
"I'm in." Said Caitlin. "I could use a real bed for a change."
It took Garrett a while to answer. "Sure." He said. "I'm sleeping on the couch."
"Ok guys." I said. "Let's go."
Caitlin helped me up and I carried the pieces of my sword to my house.
"You know you can't repair that anymore, right?" Caitlin asked.
"Yea, I know." I replied. "But I've had this for a while."
She nodded. "I know it shows sentimental value, but you gotta let it go. It's really no use for you anymore."
"I know." I mumbled.
We arrived at my house and we put our stuff by the door. Caitlin ran right in.
"I can't wait to sleep in a real bed instead of cold hard cobblestone." She said.
She ran and jumped onto my bed.
"Don't break it. I have plenty of beds in my room." I said as I motioned them to a secret door on the other side of my room.
"What?!" Caitlin beamed. "This is so cool."
I nodded. "Thanks. This is where I keep the spare beds if someone spends the night."
I opened the door and they went into the room. I closed the door behind them and I walked to my own bed. I kicked off my shoes and pulled back the covers. I was to make a new sword tomorrow with those new diamonds.
I lie in bed praying the best for Eileen. I'm worried. Our second day is over. Time is running out.
