Longings and the Past

The Rathores dropped the Singhs at their apartment.
Though Mrs Singh invited Vikram and Smriti but they politely refused as they were dead tired.

It took some time to settle down and Akira took her son to bathe and made him ready for his sleep.

Vidit put his head on her lap and asked - Mom, why do I have no Daddy? Did He leave us because I was not a good child? Didn't he love me like you do Mumma?

Akira was shocked at his sudden outburst....she knew no answers that would ease the pain of her son. She closed her eyes and wiped the lone tear that dropped off her eye. She had to be strong for her three year old.

She cupped his face gently and said - Who said you don't have a Daddy? I told you Daddy loves you with all his heart. It's just that he can not be with us, sweetheart!

Why Mumma? All my friends have daddys.....
See even Kiyara has her daddy who loves her so so much!

He sobbed in her lap. And Akira for the first time wanted to cry her heart out at her son's longing for a Father. She knew that no matter whatever she did or tries.....there was a void in his heart....he longed for a Father!
She tried to comfort the crying vidit and soon sleep engulfed him. But Akira was travelling back to her past....her horrible past!!!

Flashback

If only you were brave enough Vivek!
How I want to curse you even if you are not there!!! I hate you with all my heart and soul for causing this agony to my son!
Her mind unwillingly went to her past ...to him..!!!
How almost 4 years ago, her love had turned her upside down....leaving her shattering for life.
Akira had married the Love of her life....or atleast she thought so!
They were High school sweethearts....just perfect!
Times flew...and then Akira fell in love with his charms. They completed their studies and Vivek opted to become an Engineer whereas Akira decided to persue fashion design. She was passionate about her career.
Soon, after graduation they decided to marry each other and within no time they started Thier married life. Things were going fine....untill it was when Akira had to shift to his house with her in laws. They were very demanding and they did not like Akira's job. They wanted grandchildren from her....but those times were tough.....akira was afterall just in her early twenties and she wanted to build her career before she started her family.
But, They started to abuse her verbally and restricted her from her job. She looked upto Vivek but he just cut her off. Rather, He supported his parents.
Things started to change between them and their love paradise was sinking in trouble. When Vivek found out the real cause of Akira not conceiving ie: she was on pills.
He saw red.....that was the first time the torture started.

He hit her...!!!!

The love of her life....turned into an animal. He began to drink and smoke. He used to come home drunk and late. His parents added fuel in his anger and all the time, Akira was on the receiving end. She took it all hoping he will change and this will pass....!!!

But fate had something else for her....Vivek started to accuse her of illicit affairs with her officemen. Days turned horrible and Vivek also started to force himself upon her, abusing her physically. It was one dreadful day when Akira's parents visited them. They stood to their roots when they found Vivek hitting her. And watching his parents be the mere witnesses. That day They took broken Akira with them, threatening to file a domestic violence case against them. Everything seemed crushed.....Akira had no hope to live. But destiny was a little merciful....when she found out that she was pregnant with her first child. She was beyond happy and she wanted to tell Vivek about this happy news hoping that the news might change everything.
She asked him to meet at some cafe...and after a lot of begging he agreed, only to give her the most shattering torture of her relationship. When she told him about their baby.....he was angry.....he blamed her for being a whore.....for extra Marital affairs and accused her of carrying an illegitimate child in her womb. He left her crying bitterly....saying never to show her face.
She cried all her heart.....begged him....but no avail....she was a nobody to him!
Exhausted and shattered...she fainted....and Her parents were informed by a passing boy about her condotion. They rushed to the place and took her to the Hospital....she went into coma for 3days.....doctors were worried about her fetus....but with God's grace she returned back to her concious...and she left home with her parents. Days were terrible for a crying and mourning Akira....it was her mother who brought her back into right mind. She asked her to take care of herself and feel blessed that she was going to give birth to a new life. With time, Akira made ammendment with her ill fate. She was a continuous target of mean people accusing her of carrying an illegitimate child and not look after her marriage but she took it all determined. Her life wrapped around her career and her unborn baby.
Soon, she delivered a baby boy....how badly she wanted to inform Vivek about his baby's arrival...but all she got in return was insults and abuse.

Her parents suggested her to apply for a divorce! That day she cried for her fate....but she knew better ...their marriage had nothing left, so she decided to go ahead with Separation. Vivek's parents were more than happy to accept the divorce.
Vivek was unaffected too.!

Time flew....and after about one year she got a shattering news that Vivek was suffering from lungs cancer. All the alcohol and tobacco had caused him the dreadful disease. He was diagnosed with third stage but even on his deathbed, he refused to see her and his own baby. That turned Akira into a stone, her beliefs in love finished and she turned ice cold to her surroundings.
That day, She burnt all her memories with him!

She had only two aims....her son and her career.!

Flashback ends.

Tears slipped out her beautiful eyes, remembering the past.....she wiped them and looked lovingly at her sleeping son. She run her fingers in his silky hair and promised herself to give him world's Happiness.
Even if it meant sacrifices on her part.!
She would do it for her son, for her lifeline.!

Because, he was her Heart beat!

So guys ,after a long time .....I am back with a new update. Sorry for being late but I wanted to give an elaborate view on Akira's past.
