2013 Asgard
"You told your dad about me?"

NIKITA WORE A WIDE SMILE ON HER FACE when she landed in Asgard after coming through the Bifrost with Thor. Katherine had told her that Asgard was a beautiful place, and now she got to see it for herself. Nikita looked around the gate room, in awe of how much gold, light, and beauty there was to it.

"We have to do that again." She said, and that's when she noticed Heimdall. "Hi." She spoke.

"Welcome to Asgard."

Nikita lay on a table while a group of women physicians and nurses stood over her, examining what was in her body. Thor's mother was among the women, and Thor also stood close by to keep a watchful eye on Nikita.

"What's that?" Nikita asked pointing to what was hovering over her.

"Be still." The nurse said, before waving her hands over Nikita's body, and to Nikita what looked like a sandy 3D x-ray of her body was now hovering above her, and she's never seen anything so advanced before, she was amazed.

"This is not of Earth, what is it?" Thor whispered to one of the women.

"We do not know. But she will not survive the amount of energy surging within her in combination with the powers that she already possesses. She's quite literally a ticking time bomb since she has the power of incineration." The woman whispered back to Thor.

That wasn't at all what he wanted to hear.

"That's a quantum field generator, isn't it?" Nikita asked.

"It's a soul forge." The nurse responded.

"Does the soul forge transfer molecular energy from one place to another?" Nikita asked. The nurse looked down at her, surprised that she knew what that was.

"Yes." She said.

"Quantum field generator," Nikita whispered. From where he was watching, a smile came onto Thor's face, seeing that despite what was happening, Nikita was still keeping a positive attitude about things. That made him happy.

She makes him happy.

"My words are mere noises to you that you ignore them completely?" A new voice had stepped into the room, the voice of Thor's father, Odin.

"She is ill," Thor said.

"She is mortal," Odin said.

"Hardly," Nikita mumbled under her breath. The nurses all backed away, the hologram of Nikita's body disappeared from above her, and she sighed. She was really enjoying watching them work.

"Illness is their defining trait," Odin said.

"I brought her here because we can help her," Thor said.

"She does not belong here in Asgard anymore than a goat belongs at a banquet table," Odin said, and that made Nikita sit up and look at Thor with a raised eyebrow.

"Excuse me? Did he just... compare me to a goat?" Nikita asked, before turning her eyes to Odin. "Who do you think you are?" She snapped.

"I am Odin, King of Asgard. Protector of the Nine Realms." Odin said, which caught Nikita off guard. She couldn't believe that she had just mouthed off that way to a King.

"Oh... well, I'm...-" Odin cut her off.

"...-I know very well who you are, Nikita Romanoff," Odin said. Nikita looked at Thor with a hint of a smile on her face.
