600 READSSSSSS (imagine me literally screeching that because that's how I feel)

I'm working on a lil side project. Hopefully I have the dedication to actually go through with it.

How are you liking the story so far? I know this all sounds pretty cliche but I have my own little quirks and plans I want to incorporate!

___

Harry

A crime scene. A crime scene. The concept doesn't even feel real to me. It was just yesterday that I had her with me in bed, laughing and being in each other's presence. And just like the snap of a finger, she's gone.

I look at the police officer. I can't be mad at him, he's just doing his job and I need to let him. I don't know anything about this sort of stuff. Sure I've heard about it and I've watched Criminal Minds but they have a much better chance at catching this son of a bitch than I do.

He grabs the speaker thing off of his shoulder and speaks something into it that I can't quite hear.

"We are securing the CTV footage as we speak. We are going to take those to the station and review the past 24 hours. This will take a while but we should get back to you within the next few days, hopefully with a lead. All I ask is that you're patient." He gives a small smile, trying to reassure me. But nothing could possibly settle the feeling jumbling around in my stomach. I look over to Mak who had her hand up to her face, still in shock.

"Okay. I'll shut the door on the way out." Chandler adds. I nod, realizing that I was supposed to leave now. I take a final look around the room. Evelyn's shoes on the floor next to her side of the bed. Her phone on the charger next to mine. Her sheets were disheveled next to Maks perfectly messy side. Just looking at that area, I could feel the stress and fear I'm sure she must have felt.

She was just taken right in front of us.

I feel a touch on my arm and snap my head to see Mak grabbing my arm to lure me out of the room. I follow her and Chandler follows me until he shuts the door one last time.

"Can I have your door key please?" He asks flatly and holds out his hand. I nod and fish through my pockets before finding the card and hand it over to him. He gives me a slight head nod.

"Don't forget Styles. Patience is key. There's a real good chance that she's fine and we will get her home safe." I absorb his words as he walks away. There's a good chance that she will come home safe. I have to hold onto that hope because I already feel like I'm going insane. I hear a hotel door open somewhere down the hall.

"Harry mate! What's goin on?!" I hear Niall's voice as it gets closer. I turn around to face him. I can feel my face getting heated from the anxiety. Already, it feels like every minute she's not here with me my throat just gets tighter and tighter. It's not like any other time we've been apart. This time I know she's with someone who wants to do her harm.

"Uhm." I barely choke out. Now here's the hard part. Telling people. I look over at Mak.

"Can you call her parents? I'm sure it'll come across better coming from you." She nods and disappears down the hall way.

Liam and Zayn come out of their own rooms and Louis tags along behind them.

"Louis told us that Evelyn is missing. The cops are called? What's going on?" Liam speaks up behind Niall. I look at Louis, how does he know? It doesn't even really matter at this point. I just nod.

"Yes. We think her ex husband took her last night." All of the boys eyebrows rise in shock. A myriad of questions follow.

"She was married?"
