~ RAPH'S POV ~
I felt the annoying bats in my chest swarm over when Genius told me it was my turn. I didn't WANT to feel ashamed or nervous about Y/N.
I sheathed my sai, pretending like everything was okay. I exhaled long and slow. Then, once I hd mustered up the courage, I walked over to sensei's dojo.
The room was lit with candles, not that I would have noticed. I was just searching for anything else to focus on.
"Raphael. Sit down." Sensei instructed.
I did as I was told for once. By the tone in his voice, I could tell he wasn't messing around.
"You've been distracted lately, and you went topside without telling me first. Why is this so, my son?"
I glanced up at him, sighing.
"Look sensei, I know you're gonna disapprove... but... I saved this girl, Y/N, from a dumb jerk named Drake. She said the last time they saw each other, he gave her a black eye. He had a bunch of other friends restraining her, and he pulled out spiked brass knuckles. With respect sensei, I couldn't just leave her... and I've kinda been visiting her lately. This morning, in fact."
Sensei stroked his goatee. "I'm seeing a pattern here," he sighed.
I looked up. "Huh?"
"Both Leonardo and Donatello used similar excuses. Only... I could sense they weren't excuses. They're..."
I sighed. "Yes sensei, I am telling the truth."
He sighed, shaking his head. "Thank you, my son, for being honest with me. Go tell Michelangelo it's his turn next."
I nodded my head, getting to my feet. I walked out of the dojo to see my youngest brother pacing. Mikey, worried? He really was shaken up.
"Hey," I put my hand on his shoulder.
He stopped and looked up at me.
"It'll be alright, little brother. Trust me."
He nodded, just like that, my thoughts swarmed with Y/N again.
