You were up early again, doing experiments in your room. You were so obsessed with science your brother had nicknamed your room "the Lab" and often teased you about it. Jerk.
Needless to say, you were still in your pyjamas, considering the fact it was only 6:30 in the morning. Everyone in your house was still asleep, which was a relief as you liked absolutely NO DISTRACTIONS while you were working.
You were shaking up a green substance and a red substance, both in test-tubes and were about to mix them when a tap on your window made you almost spill the both of them.
Sighing exasperatedly, you carefully slotted both the test tubes into their places in your home-made holder and walked over to the window. Also needless to say, you were surprised to see a certain purple-clad genius who also happened to be 60% turtle waving at you from beyond the glass.
You giggled and opened the sliding door leading to your fire escape. "What's up, genius?" You asked.
"Hey Y/N, I was just stopping by to see if Blake had given you any trouble again."
"Oh, he hasn't, don't worry," you said nervously. "Come in."
The turtle asked into your room and looked at what you were doing. "Hmm," he murmured.
"I was just doing some science stuff," you said awkwardly. "Er, you know, for fun."
He glanced at you, a smile creeping onto his (nonexistent?) lips."You do that too?"
You nodded excitedly.
"Hmm... can I help too?"
"Of course!"
You two spent the rest of the wee hours of morning mixing up lab chemicals, getting said mixed up lab chemicals exploding in your faces, and laughing about how stupid you both looked afterwards.
Donnie really was an interesting character, you thought. Had it not been for his quick ninja skills, your dad would have found him when he came in to wake you up at 9 am. Which was good, because if he had found out about a giant mutant humanoid turtle in your room, he would've gone nutso.
Little did you know, if Splinter found out Donnie was becoming friends with a human, especially a teenaged human girl... Yoshi would have acted the same way.
