Casual clothes? Check.
Food? Check.
Nerves? Way too many.
You ran over your short checklist in your mind as you paced your room, glancing at the box of Shapes you had bought for your visit to Raph's place.
It was annoying because you couldn't stop thinking about the turtle.
You should know, Y/n M/n L/n does not do feelings. So this was a problem.
Why were you so damn nervous?
After what felt like forever, there was finally a tap on your sliding glass door.
You glanced up and exhaled when your eyes met familiar green ones.
"Finally! I thought you'd never show!" You groaned as you let the turtle in.
"Nice to see you too," Raph smirked. "Grab your snacks and we'll get out of here."
The second you stepped into the crisp night air you started shivering. New York nights were so god damn COLD.
Raph noticed this and tried to comfort you. "We'll warm up along the way," he promised.
After a while of running under cover of darkness, you made it to a sheltered back alleyway.
"We've grown to ignore the smell, so sorry about that," Raph shrugged as he overturned the manhole cover.
"I see what you mean," you nodded, resisting the urge to plug your nose.
"You first," Raph gave you a hand down the ladder, before climbing down himself and returning the cover to its place.
After trekking through the many winding passageways of the sewers, you came into what you guessed was the lair.
"Guys! Y/n's here! Be nice, or I'll pound ya!" Raph called, his voice bouncing down the pathways.
A large rat mutant came round one of the corners and shook your hand. "Welcome, y/n," he smiled. "I'm Splinter. These are my sons. Please enjoy your stay here."
"I'm Donnie," a purple-clad turtle with a gap-tooth shook your hand, smiling.
"My name's Leo," the one next to him introduced himself and shook your hand too.
"I'm Mikey!" The orange-bandanna turtle did a flip off the couch, lost his balance and fell onto it again, making you giggle.
"Thanks for having me! Raph, wanna spar?" You asked your friend.
Raph's grin widened as the turtle lead his way to the thick-walled room.
