note 1: not based on the movie, i think. ive never actually watched the movie.
note 2: oops, another corbina one.
imagine: opening the door, and finding out your favorite book character wants to safe your love lifeI heard a knock on the door, and laid my book down, whilst standing up from my couch. Who could be knocking on my door, at 2 am. I thought about not opening, but then I saw the rain outside, and felt like I had to. I walked to the front door, and saw a blonde guy standing in front of it, he didn't look scary, so I opened up.
"Uhm, hey, can I come in?" He asked, I shook my head.
"Depends. Who are you?" I ask. He is wearing a hoodie, so I can't really see any of his features. "And you have to show me your face." I laugh. When he looks up, and I look in his eyes, something inside me recognises him.
"Colby Benson, nice to meet you. But I actually came here to tell you something completely different." He starts, I open the door further, and let him in. "Okay, I don't know how to start this, but I've been reading this book, and you're in it." He says, I shake my head, and laugh.
"Yea sure, uhm, you're kinda creeping me out Colby Benson, if you don't get to the point now, I'm kicking you out." I say, already kind of opening the door.
"No wait! Look, I'm from another universe, and in my world, there's a book about you. And I know how your story is gonna end." He says, while I look at him in confusion. "And it's not good." He laughs.
"And why do you care?" I laugh.
"Because," He stops. "Because... I don't know, I like your character." He says, and I laugh, how could someone like me, ever since day one, everyone had always been avoiding me. "Seems unlikely?" He asked, and I nodded.
"Okay, uhm, and how are you gonna change that? The book is already written." I scoff.
"By doing this." He says, while pressing his lips against mine. I push him away, but he doesn't give in. His tongue asks for entry, and I open my mouth, suddenly not minding this kiss. The way his hand moves my hair out of the way, and how he rests the other one on my waist, feels familiar. I've never felt it before, but I recognise it. He breaks our contact, panting. The fire rushing through my body, suddenly disappears. I connect our lips again, hoping for that feeling to return. Our kiss slowly turns into a make out session, and before I know it I'm pressed up against the wall.
"Wait, wait," I say, my breathing is deep, and loud. He looks me in the eyes. And suddenly I see it. "You're not Colby! You're Corbyn." I say.
"Damn it, I suppose there's a book about me here too." He asks, and I nod, taking him to my living room, and showing him the book I was reading just a few minutes ago. He opens it, and reads little parts.
"What?! I would never do that!" He says, while showing me the page. I read it, and laugh. I sit down, and think about what just happened.
"That's why it must have been so familiar." I mutter softly. He looks at me and asks what I was saying. "It was all so familiar." I answer. He sits down beside me.
"So you read about my kisses?" He asks and I nod.
"Of course, the book is about your first love interest, Chrissy." I say, but he looks at me.
"I've never heard of that name." He says, and I laugh. He must be kidding, the whole book is about her. and him. since in the last three books, they are together, I don't understand why he would leave that, for me.
"Why did you come here, I'm not ruining your relationship with her, am I?" I say. He looks at me, and grabs my hands, I should feel uncomfortable, unsafe, but it just feels right. He looks in my eyes, and opens his mouth to say something.
"Well, the universe must have made a mistake." He says, but I don't buy it. Why would I have a different name in their universe?
"I don't think you're supposed to be here." I say.
"If you wanted me to leave, you would have told me right away, you wouldn't have kissed me and above all, you wouldn't be holding my hands right now." He says, and I stand up. "Tell me to leave and I will." He says, so I stand there, not sure what to say, and what to believe. Maybe he was right, maybe this was my one change of love, and maybe my life would really be miserable, but he could be lying. All the things that could happen rush through my mind. He can kill you? But it feels right. After a while, I sit back down.
"Phew! I thought you were gonna kick me out for a sec." He laughs, and grabs my hands again.
"If you really knew me, you would've known, I wouldn't leave." I smirk. His eyes shine.
"Well, if this book is right, I have a whole lifetime to get to know you."
