imagine: being in a long distance relationship, and spending your last few hours for the coming months together
—
I open my eyes, and hear the bed sheets shuffle. I turn around and lay my head on his chest.
"Morning sunshine." He laughs. My eyes feel red and puffy. As he kisses me the sadness returns. Our last hours. His eyes find mine, as he caresses my cheek.
"Please don't be sad," Daniel starts, in his eyes i see a hint of regret. "I want our last hours for the coming 3 months to be happy and special."
if he only knew. I sniff, and nod. He wipes away my tears, and kisses me again.
"Life would be easier without you." I say, still trying to prevent my heart from breaking. "But I don't want an easy life." I say, smiling at his adorableness. I swing my leg around his waist, and sit on his lap. I lean down to kiss him, and laugh. He moved his head away, so I can't kiss him. I hit him on his chest. His sneaky grin fades away, and makes room for a more serious face.
"Ouch that hurt!" He laughs sarcastically. I fall down on the bed again, and look around my room. My eyes catch an old picture frame, with a picture of me and Daniel in it, the first time we met. By that time, we had been talking for almost 6 months, on social media. We were both small singers, so it was just a matter of time before we would meet at an event. That was actually the year we went on tour together, and where he asked me to be his.
"So what do you wanna do today?" I ask, and he stares at the ceiling.
"Uh, let's go to the market, like old times!" He says, and I laugh. We always used to go to the market when we were together. Somewhere along the way, we lost the tradition, but it was good to look back at it from time to time.
"Yes! Let's get dressed!" I say as I jump out of the bed to grab my clothes. "Do you wanna shower first?" I ask and turn around, to look at him. He was holding his phone and clearly not paying attention. "I take that as a no." I mumble and head over to the bathroom. I let the water run over my head, down my body, into the drain. I wash my body, my hair. As I step and out, I hear soft snores coming from the room on the other side of the door. Dork. I grab a glass and fill it with water. He'll learn his lesson the hard way. As I make my way into the bedroom, I look at his face, and suddenly realize he is too adorable to throw water at. Plus, why wake him up, when I can make pictures? I put the glass down, and grab my phone. I open my camera, and click on the shoot bottom. I close my eyes, as a light flash comes out my phone. Damn it!
Weird enough, Daniel keeps sleeping, so I take a couple more pictures, before deciding to just throw the water in his face. I grab the glass, and suddenly his eyes shoot open."You weren't going to splash me with that water, were you?" He asks, and I shake my head, as I bring the glass to my mouth. I can see he doesn't buy it and when the glasses almost touches my lips, he gives it a push, so that it splashes all over me. I gasp and look at my wet sweater, that I just put on.
"Ugh! Daniel!" I say as he laughs. "Well, I guess the only way to solve it, is if I wear your hoodie." I say. His laugh fades away.
"Oh! So you think that's how it works?" He laughs, and grabs my waist, to pull me back onto the bed. He rolls me around, and pins my hands above my head. "Think twice before you act." He says and he leans down to kiss me.
"Ah! Come on! The other one you gave me last time I was with you, smells like me now!" I say, and pout my lips.
"Perfect, than I want that one back, and you can get a new one, deal?" He asks. I nod.
"Deal!" I say. He let's go of me, and walks to his suitcase. I make my way to my closet and hand him his old sweater. He throws me a new one. It smells amazing. I know that's what every girl would say, but I'm serious, his natural smell is just so good.
"Now, let me take a shower." He says as he walks out of the room, with a towel and some clothes in his arms. I sit down on the bed, and grab my phone, to scroll through my instagram.

"That one smells good." I say, as I hand Daniel the watermelon.
"Yeah, let's take it." He says, and he gives it to the man standing behind the stall. He hands it back, after putting it in a bag, and we give him the money. "Thank you, sir." Daniel says, as he politely bows his head. I look across the street and see a stall with waffles.
"Ooh! Daniel, can we get some waffles?" I ask, and drag him across the street to the waffle stall. We order two waffles and sit down on a bench in the park.
"I'm going to miss this." He says. I agree, but he doesn't know, that in two weeks time, I'll surprise him for his birthday. His whole family was in on the plan, just not him. I was excited of course, since I never really got to see him that often, because he lived on the other side of the country.
"We'll figure it out." I smile, happily eating my waffle. He puts his arm around me, and looks around the park. As we finish our waffles, we stand up, and decide to walk one last round around the market. We walk past some food stalls, and other things. Suddenly Daniel stand still. I look around and see he is holding a necklace. I walk back to him, and he holds the necklace beside my face.
"Perfect." He smiles, and hands it to the seller, to buy it. When we come home, I grab the necklace and walk upstairs. Daniel starts packing his stuff, and I put the necklace on. It's a simple, silver necklace, with one charm. It's a clover with in the center a small blue stone. I hold the charm between my thumb and index finger, as I look at it through my mirror. Daniel was right, it brought out the blue of my eyes, eventhough it was so small. I was woken up by daniel, loudly closing his suitcase. I looked at him, and we nodded, walking downstairs. My dad was going to take him to the airport, so he was already waiting outside.

I stepped out of the car, and gave Daniel one last hug.
"I guess that's it." Daniel said, while shrugging his shoulders. I nod, and bury my head in his chest.
"I'm gonna miss you." I say, as I kiss him goodbye. I feel tears falling down my cheeks.
"See you in 3 months, baby." He says, as I losen my grip, and he walks away. He turns around one more time before he walks out of my view. If he only knew I was gonna surprise him in two weeks. I smile as I step back in the car. My dad starts the engine, and I start playing with the charm on my necklace. And I knew I would never fall out of love again.
