Gabby's pov
I felt a hole in my heart, thinking about him. My every day not as bright, ever since his presence left. I took a quick glance at the clock right beside me on my bedside table. As soon as the time jumped on 8 PM, my phone started vibrating in my hand. It's been a week, a busy one. I had other things on my head, distracting me from the fact that he wasn't by my side. I didn't know if I was going to be ready to see him again. Other than texts every night and morning, I hadn't spoken to him for a week, a whole week. My finger touched the screen, swiping towards the right. His face appeared on my screen, adrenaline still rushing through his body from that nights show.

"Hey babe!" He stated excitedly. My lips curved into a slight smile hearing his voice echo through the phone. My heart beating fast against my chest, just seeing his face, making my the heat rise to my cheeks.

"Hi!" I said. The background was still moving, meaning he was searching for a peaceful place to call his girlfriend. He opened the door and laid down in his bunk. His forehead was still a bit sweaty, since he had just gotten off stage.

"How was the show?" I questioned. His phone was up close to his face, making me feel like he was just right there in front of him.

"I don't know." He spoke hesitantly. His looked down, sniffing. "I love the fans, but sometimes it just becomes too much."

My heart sunk, he was fighting the tears as I felt my eyes get watery. "I miss you, I miss my mom. It's not that I don't want to call you, but it just becomes so real, when I see your face again, and it fucking hurts. I know I still have two months to go, but I just can't do it anymore." His voice cracked, tears becoming evident in his eyes.

"Dani, I miss you too, so much." I spoke silently. His eyes turned red as I looked back into them. My heart broke again. Every time I looked in his eyes I saw the pain caused by our situation. Tate and Christina joined their tour, and here I was, in my apartment, studying.

"You know it breaks my heart to see you in pain, but I don't know how to make it better." I sobbed, eyes red. I tried calming my breath, but every time I exhaled, a hiccup would interrupt me. I just wanted him to hold me, hug me, kiss me. "ever since you left I've felt this void, and I don't care what it takes, but I'll be there."

My heart skipped a beat every time I thought of what was about to happen. The cold New York air was touching my skin as I stepped outside of the plane, my hoodie not really giving me enough warmth. The crowd made their way to the main building, stumbling across the windy airport. My breath got stuck in my throat, not being able to hold back my excitement. After getting my suitcase at bagage claim, I decided to walk straight to the welcoming hall.
The closer I got to the automatic doors, the faster I started to walk. My head was pounding, already imagining his big, toothy, smile and happy eyes. The people in front of me were the first to walk out, and as I sort of ran around the corner, his figure appeared right in front of me. (dont really know if this is how it goes in the us, cuz ive never experienced that shit, but this is how it goes in the netherlands :))

Daniel's pov
After a few quick 'see ya later's to the boys, I walked outside the hotel. Luckily my Uber was already waiting for me. I crossed the street and opened the backdoor of the car, making my way down to the airport.
The streets were busy, pedestrians running along the sidewalks and crossing streets every now and then. I had my eyes on my phone, following the plane that had appeared on the map a few hours ago. (my mom has this app where, if ur on a plane, she can see where it is, and if it landed, really handy.) Some time went by, as I got nervous, questioning if I would make it in time. We stopped at the airport, as I thanked the Uber driver, as ran inside the airport hall.

"Where do I need to go?" I mumbled to myself, running along almost all the gates. As soon as I saw the sign, I followed it, in her direction. My stomach was turning inside out, waiting, not knowing how long it would take. I took my place right across the door, leaning against the fence placed there. The first few passengers walked out, smiling brightly when they realised they had entered New York City.
A small figure walked around the corner, in a dark blue hoodie, seeming all too familiar. My mouth opened, making my teeth appear. The girl started running in my direction, opening her arms wide. I made my way around the fence, longing for her touch. (imagine this all in slow motion, hilarious). Gabby hung her arms around my neck as I lifted her off the ground, my eyes watery. When I placed her back down on the ground, our lips touched. She laid her head down on my chest, a laugh leaving her lips, feeling my heart beating.

"Hey babe." I said cheekily. She embraced my in another hug.

"Hi!" She shrieked, excitement evident through her tone. Her voice was high-pitched and her eyes shined brightly. I took her hand in mine, and grabbed her bags. "Excited for your show tomorrow?" She asked calmly. I nodded, as we made our way back to the hotel.

We entered the tour bus, after Daniel had grabbed his bags from the hotel room. The first people I saw were Corbyn and Christina. Christina stood up to hug me.

"Gabby! Hey!" She laughed. I said hi back and rested my head on her shoulder.

"it smells like boys in here." I whispered in her ear, smelling the testosterone caused by the 5 boys (men* sorry)

"I know right." She whispered back. I laughed, and saw Jack and Zach enter, right behind Jonah and Tate.

"Reunited at last." Jonah stated, referring to me and Daniel. I blushed as I hugged them all.

"How about we give you a little tour?" Tate suggested. I nodded, but all the boys sat down. I smiled at Daniel and joined the girls to the front of the bus. We slowly made our way towards the back of the bus, now entering the bunk area.

"Sadly, we don't have king size beds," Christina said, tapping the mattress of her bed. "But who needs those, when you have these beautiful bunks." She continued sarcastically.

"We do have a spare one, but we're guessing you won't be using that." Tate said, walking further down the bus, to the back lounge. I decided to head to bed right after their tour, (im funny) feeling tired from my long day.

"Dani, which bunk is yours?" I asked, making Daniel stand up, and show me his bunk. He threw me one of his shirts, and joined me in his bunk after we got dressed for bed.

My head was now resting on his chest, his warmth surrounding me.

"Thanks," He said softly, his hand caressing my head through my hair. "for flying out here."

"I needed it as much as you did." I whispered, closing my eyes. His lips touched my temple, kissing me.

"I love you." He said as I closed my eyes.

"I love you too." I hummed, feeling the bus rocking me to a peaceful sleep in Daniel's arms.

a/n: GABBY, (geez stop being to aggressive) i hope u like this cuz it isnt really sad and heres why. for a lot of the sentence i already had an idea on what to do, but this wasn't one of them.
