just for the purpose of the story, both y/n and jack are 17 ( in the beginning, later on they're a bit older heheh ) also, this chapter is sorta based on the song 'seventeen' by Julia Michaels.
I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply. Shortly after, I opened my eyes again, feeling the sleeplessness having it's effect on me. I turned around and grabbed my phone. 4:12 am. I sighed and fell back into my pillow. I laid comfortably on my side, I closed my eyes, desperate for some rest. Soon after I heard a soft knock on my window. My eyes shot open, as I felt my body tense up. I carefully lifted the covers off my body, as I stepped out of my bed. The person outside knocked again. I felt my breath get caught in my throath. I slowly removed my curtain, as I saw a smiling figure hanging in front of my window. I felt my muscles relax again, as I recognized Jack's features. I opened my window and let him in.
"You scared the hell of me!" I exclaimed. Jack was still smiling as he grabbed my wrists. He pushed me through my room. I felt my calves ( i hate this word sm and idk why ) hit my bedframe. He pushed me down on my bed and pinned my hands down to the mattress.
"No 'I love you?'" Jack says. I feel his hot breath against my hot cheeks.
"Well, you kinda just knocked on my window and expect to be let in," I joked. "How did you get up here." I ask, as soon as I realize my room is on the second floor.
"A magician never reveals his secrets." He states, his head is still hanging above mine, our lips nearly touching.
"Gosh, can't you just kiss me already." I say as I let my hands escape from his grip. I bring them to the back of his neck and push his lips against mine. My lips are slightly parted as I feel his tongue ghost over my bottom lip. I open my mouth. Jack deepens our kiss as he brings his hands to rest on my cheeks. His body is now fully leaning on me. I feel my longues start to burn, longing for more oxygen. As if on que, Jack slowly breaks us apart, panting.
"That's what I meant." I laughed. He fell down beside me, as he kissed my temple. Someone knocked on my door as reality kicked in. I pushed Jack off the bed as he crawled underneath it.
"y/n? You alright?" I hear my mom ask, before entering my room. She is holding a laundry basket in her hands.
"Yes, I was just revising the words I need to know for Spanish." I lie. She leans down and grabs two socks from my bedroom floor. "Why aren't you asleep?" I ask her.
"I could ask you the same." She states as she lays the laundry basket down on my bed and sits down. "But I couldn't sleep, so I thought I might do something productive as well. But why are you studying for Spanish out loud?"
"Well, I read online, it helps you remember the words better or something." My heart starts beating quicken with every lie I tell.
"Well, I'm going to bed as soon as I finish this laundry, and you should too." She says as she tucks me in. "Here, you have Sunny." She hands me my teddy bear. I can already hear Jack making fun of me.
"Goodnight baby, I love you." She says, as she stands up and closes my door. I hear Jack crawl from under my bed with an old, empty packet of chocolate covered oreos.
"Your room, is a mess." He says, as he throws it in my trashcan.
"That's how I like it." I joke. Jack jumps down on the bed again, letting his head rest on his hand. "Anyway, who's Sunny?" He smiles. I already feel the heat rise to my skin as he reached forward to grab my teddybear.
"My dad gave it to me, the first time he left he left for the army." I say. My dad was a soldier, and was currently on mission in South-Africa, helping children there to go to school and take care of their families. It wasn't what he expected to be doing in the army, but my mom, little sister and I, were happy he wasn't in danger.
