Helena POV
Camp Half- Blood was amazing. It was only Helena's fifth day here but she loved it. Pegasus training? Amazing! Sword fighting? Okay that one was a little tiring, but exciting!
But Helena felt out of place. Hermes cabin definitely made her feel welcome, but she was one of the few who hadn't been claimed. Did my parent forget that I was born? No, the gods can't be that cruel.
Although Helena came to camp not knowing anything, she slowly started to regain her memory. She remembers living in foster care, her foster parents loved her dearly. But Helena didn't know how she ended up at camp. For some reason, her memory was fuzzy. She didn't think much of it but it was hard not knowing her past.
There was talk that Helena was a child of Hera. From Annabeth's Greek lessons, she learned that Hera was always jealous of Zeus's affairs. So there was no way she could be her child. But Helena wasn't so sure. Each class she attended, she did well but not extraordinarily. She couldn't make anything like the Hephaestus kids, in fact she almost burned her hair after trying to make her own weapon. She couldn't fight like a child of Ares. She definitely couldn't charmspeak like a child of Aphrodite.
It was free time, so Helena decided to take a walk around to think. She started walking around the cabins, passing each one to see which one called to her.
"Hey Helena!" Percy said from behind her, startling her thoughts.
"Hey Percy! How are you?" Helena asked. Helena thought Percy was cute but in a friendly way. She heard the campers tell her stories of the great Percy Jackson and his girlfriend Annabeth Chase. Helena wished she had Percy as a brother. He seemed to take care of everyone at camp and Helena knew with him by her side she would feel safe.
Percy joined Helena on her walk. "Can I ask why you walk around the cabins? I saw you doing this yesterday."
Helena was a little embarrassed but gave an honest answer. "I'm just walking to each cabin to see what calls to me. Maybe my mom or dad might claim me when I'm in front of the right cabin."
Percy gave her a look that showed that he felt sorry. "It's okay, I'm sure you'll be claimed soon. How are you liking camp? Any activities that stand out to you?"
Helena thought to herself. She liked all the camp had to offer but obviously wasn't good at everything. "I like Arts and Crafts a lot. I guess I'm crafty. Is there a god of crafts?" Helena chuckled to herself.
Percy raised his eyebrows. "Maybe that's your talent! Gives me an idea of who your parent might be..."
"Percy, I haven't been completely honest with you guys. I'm starting to remember my past. But only bits and pieces. Is there anyway you can help me remember who I am?" Helena asked. She thought this was a ridiculous request.
Percy laughed, not mockingly but a joyous one. "Let's ask Annabeth this. She's the brains and I'm only the brawn."
They both laughed and made their way to Athena cabin.
