Leo POV
When they reached the group of campers, they realized the show was over. Whatever happened was defused by his other best friend, Jason Grace.
"Alright shows over, get back to your activities!" Jason said in a commanding voice.
"Jason!" Both Piper and Leo yelled. They ran over to him and gave him a group hug. Jason was happy for a second but turned around. When Leo looked down he saw Helena on the ground. She was obviously in a fight and by the looks of it, she hadn't won. Thankfully she was only scratched up and dirtied.
Jason helped her up. Percy looked dangerously angry. He looked around to see if anyone was still milling about. He turned to Jason.
"Welcome back, bro. What happened here?" Percy asked.
"Well, I came to Annabeth's class to talk to her. While we were talking, Helena got into a little argument with some Aphrodite kids. I couldn't get there faces but they said some hurtful things towards her." Jason said.
Helena looked down at her feet. "It's fine."
Leo felt bad for her. Camp Half Blood was an amazing home but it was still full of growing teens. And sometimes growing teens said some mean things.
Piper sighed. "I'm sorry about my siblings' behaviors. I'll make sure to have a talk with them later tonight."
Helena looked up with a startled expression. "No, please don't. I don't want them to think I'm some kind of tattle tell. Besides," she looked down again, "they weren't wrong. I should go. Thanks, Jason and it was nice meeting you." Helena looked like she was on the verge of tears but ran towards the Hermes cabin before anyone could respond.
Jason turned towards them and sighed. "The Aphrodite kids started calling her an out of wedlock child. How if she was a child of Hera, she wasn't meant to be here."
Piper quickly hugged Jason and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "I'll try to go talk to her. Maybe she just needs a friend. I'll see you guys later." With that, she made her way to the Hermes cabin.
Leo gave Jason another hug. "What are you doing back so early? I thought you wouldn't be back for another 4 days, not that I was counting."
Jason laughed. "I actually know about your quest. Ella the harpy prophesied so I decided to make a visit before you guys left."
Percy hugged Jason. "It's always great to see you and get your help."
"How about we train for a bit? I miss sparing with you guys," Jason said.
They all nodded and made their way to the arena. Leo hoped Helena was okay. She was, in someway, his family now.
