Annabeth POV
I knew it. Annabeth thought. It has to be Hera's doing.
Rachel tried to calm the campers down. "I understand. I know we just had a war but the gods' works are never done."
Annabeth raised her voice loud enough to quiet the campers down. "Was there a prophecy?"
Everyone started quieting down. Prophecies were something everyone hated but wanted to hear.
"Yes, actually" Rachel said. She closed her eyes and within a few seconds a green aura enveloped her. Green mist started crawling out of her and towards the crowd. No matter how many times people saw this, it was always creepy.
Three shall travel to the city of revival
Where words will be put to test for their survival
The mind is what you shall seek
Where inspiration, everyday, grows weak
Unlikely heroes join hands
To help each other protect their lands
As soon as Rachel finished, a few people went up to catch her. Everyone else was dead silent. Inspiration growing weak? What does that even mean?
Chiron coughed and strode to the front of the crowd. "Heroes, I understand. You all deserve to rest. But a quest is a quest and it must be done."
Everyone started talking at once. Who is this quest meant for? What is the city of revival? Who's brave enough to go after such a big war?
Piper stood up and spoke loudly, "It's going to be okay. We're heroes, afterall. Let's settle down and try to figure this prophecy out together."
Piper's charmspeak rushed over everyone. Annabeth felt a surge of warmth and strength, guaranteed that everything was going to be okay. Within a few seconds, everyone was calm. Chiron nodded towards Piper and continued.
"I have seen some visions of how this quest will play out. First things first, those who will be going on this quest. Piper McLean and Leo Valdez, I believe you both have been receiving dreams and messages."
Piper stood up, bringing Leo to the front with her. "I know it's us. My mother talked to me this morning to be prepared. I believe this is what she was warning me about."
Leo shook his head, "Can't believe we can't even rest for more than a few months. But who's the third person?"
Piper looked at Percy and Annabeth's heart dropped. Why.
"In my dream, it was Leo, Percy, and I. I think this quest is meant for the three of us."
Percy didn't look happy. He stood up and made his way to the front. "Well, if you saw me in your dream it has to mean something. I accept."
Chiron nodded, but there was no joy in his face. Instead it looked worried. "You guys have a few days to prepare. Everyone else, lights out."
And with that, he walked away.
