Chapter 8

Three weeks pass and it is Michaela and Byron Sully's wedding anniversary. Josie and Henry are scurrying around the kitchen to make breakfast and Josie helps Brian finish up his drawing for his parents.

"I got Katie and Hazel dressed and ready and I'll help Isaac with his work." Brian says.

"Thank you so much. Henry and I have to finish up setting up the cabin and the spot in the meadow. We gotta make the meals as well and have them ready before they get there. Matthew is gonna help with that part." Josie says as she puts the eggs and oatmeal on the table.

Luke begins to cry as she heads back to put the biscuits on the table.

"I'm almost done with the bacon." Henry says

Josie responds to him "I can't remember if I'm forgetting something but I have to feed the baby right now."

Brian finishes his artwork and puts it on the easel and covers it.

"You think it's good Miss Josie?" He says.

"It's fantastic. I'm so proud of you! I'd give you a hug but baby is feeding." She says to him.

"Breakfast done. Lunch and dinner are planned and we have everything. We've cut the apples for the pie. The dress Sully got for Dr. Mike is all neat and wrinkle free. Sully's suit is clean. The little ones are dressed, neither of them need a diaper change yet. I've got nothing else." Henry says.

Michaela and Sully wake up from their slumber. They both were tired from the long day before. They both had tossed and turned but tried to keep from waking each other. Michaela had a hard time getting comfortable with her every growing belly and Sully had a light migraine.

"Good morning Michaela. Happy Anniversary. I love you more and more each day." Sully says as he strokes her hair and gives her a kiss.

"Happy anniversary Sully. I love you too." She says.

The two kiss passionately for a few minutes until they look at the surprise near them. They see two nice outfits with a note attached.

   Please enjoy your special day, your sweet wedding anniversary starting with this gift. You've got a amazing day planned for Byron and Michaela Sully. So get dressed and head downstairs for breakfast.

PS: Sully bought this dress months ago so we had to do some alterations and pack your bags for the night.

"They're so sweet to do this for us. Thank you Sully for this beautiful dress." Michaela says as she gets out of bed to brush her hair.

Sully gets out of the bed and brushes his wife's hair. It was one of his favorite things to her and one of his favorite things about his wife.

The two get dressed and head down the stairs to see their children and friends there.

"Happy anniversary Dr. Mike and Sully!" They all say.

"Thank you. You guys are amazing. Thank you for your note and everything you've been doing for us." Sully says as he pulls out the chair for his wife.

"Thank you guys for breakfast. You did an excellent job." His wife replies.

As they finish eating. Brian pulls out his surprise. He pulls off the the tarp to reveal his portrait.

"Happy Anniversary Ma and Pa."
