I forgot to mention that "New Friends" takes place maybe 5-6 months after Dr. Quinn ends with Season 6 Episode 22 "A New Beginning" I forgot Preston left and some other changes happened but I forgot when I started so Preston is still there. Andrew does still work at the clinic but it's not part of the Chateau Springs Health Resort. It's independent but Preston still has some control. Matthew has his own house where the homestead was since Sully did give it to him. Colleen and Andrew's house in in town. Fun fact: I would have had Matthew fall in love with Abby but now she's married. Oops and it's too late to change it. I also did a character remodel in the companion guides

"Well everyone, I think we're ready." Michaela says as she puts on her backpack.

"Good. Don't try to guide Sully. He needs to find his independence in the place he knows best. It's good for him to find his way. You can tell him where he is but don't guide him. Sully is trying to rush through getting back to normal life again. There's something about not being able to see that makes you feel helpless."

"I can tell. Sully really likes helping with the twins. He misses reading to Katie and wants to again. We were talking last night about how Henry wouldn't feel normal, as much as he tried to hide it, until everything is done for Sully." Michaela continues.

"I think everyone is ready." Henry says as he also puts on his backpack.

Michaela puts the twins in the stroller and Josie puts Luke in her wrap. Isaac and Brian walk together and the older boy shows the younger the little details and beautiful things to look at. The toddler girls run after each other and stopping to pick flowers and grass and rocks up to look at and play with. The wives walk with their babies and talk about the beautiful sky and forest. 
   Henry walks near Sully but not close enough to be noticed.

"Henry, how's the area looking? I haven't been out surveying in a while. "
"Oh uhh. From what you told me, the trees look healthy. Could use a little rain.  How did you know I was here?"

"I heard you. Your wife had taught be a lot of listening skills. You walk heavily, especially when you're nervous." Sully says.

He squats down to feel the plants and nearby ground. "You're right. Very good. These woods were my home for so long. Through the best of times and the worst of times. To sit here in God's creation is something indeed. Treasure these kind of moments forever son. Never let them go."Sully says as he continues walking as the ladies catch up with them. Sully's little daughter runs up to him and grabs his leg giggling happily.

"Papa up!" She says

"Katie's becoming quite the escape artist. I found her with her toys after nap time."

"Michaela and I were talking about getting her a big girl bed, but we got so busy we forgot. I wanted to make it for her."

"You still can. You're a true craftsman Sully, with or without your sight. Do you have any ideas? I bet Josie could teach you to write and draw again so you can get back to doing what you love."

"I wanted to put Katie's initials in the center and do some little bees and flowers. "

"She's gonna love it Sully. We're going to try to Hazel into her big girl bed when we get home. Sometimes I can't believe we've been here six months and going home with a new baby."

"And Michaela and I have two babies.  It's all worth it. Learning to adjust may seem like the hardest part but it wasn't. The hardest part was knowing that i didn't get to see my babies being born. I often don't sleep at night cause of crying babies or I'm thinking. Michaela says it's just cause my brain can't tell darkness from light yet but that should improve."
