Amy's POV

The sound of pencils or pens writing on paper, clanking against the wooden tables never gets old. Students are frantic to get over with the exams. Some writing faster than usual to make it before the teacher announces time to pass your papers. That's how exams are in here. "Alright. Time. Pass your papers forward." said Mrs. Smith.

And during this time, there are mixed reactions. Some groan, some sigh in relief and some just obey. Bella, Bridget and I just pass it. "Alright, thank you. It's lunch break."

And with that, she left the classroom. My classmates immediately got up and made their way to the cafeteria. Bridget came to me and Bella. "Let's go." she smiled.

"Yeah. We're starving." Bella laughed.

"Surprisingly yes." I laughed.

We also made our way to the cafeteria. And here, the chaos begins. Well not really. I just find the mixed chattering a bit too noisy. My friends and I carried our trays over to a table, but before I could even place it down, Penelope knocked it with her elbow, making my can of coffee and salad spill onto the floor. I let out a sigh loud enough for her to hear. Bridget and Bella on the other hand, exclaimed, "Hey!"

"Oops. Sorry. Didn't see ya there." Penelope sarcastically smirked. Yeah. I'm invisible as always.

Bella was about to retort something back, but I shushed her and sat back at the table, even of every eye was looking at our direction. Bridget did the "I'm watching you" gesture and slumped on a chair. Bella rolled her eyes and went to the counter. After Penelope giggled and sashayed back to her group, they all laughed like victors.

"You can have some of my salad." offered Bridget as she put a few on my plate.

Bella smiled as she returned with a can in her hand, giving it to me. "And here."

I smiled, "Thanks."

"The nerves of some people." Bella grumbled.

Bridget sighed, "She thinks she's all that."

I chuckled in pity. "Well, she's not. And I hope she realizes soon."

We ate lunch in silence, then upon the remaining hours of class, Mrs. Smith gave our results. She's that fast. "Bella and Bridget, 97. Penelope, 93. Chloe, 90. And once again, Amy, 100 on this test. Good job."

"Thank you." I smiled.

Bella and Bridget winked. Though I felt grateful, I could also feel the icy stares from certain people. Not my fault. I helped them, but did they study enough? Besides, can't they see that they have pretty good grades? Talk about satisfaction issues.

After class, Bella asked me if I was going to show my results to my family. "Yeah. I hope they pay attention." I sighed.

"Oh come on. You get enough credit, leech." barked Penelope.

"Yeah." seconded Chloe.

I shrugged, "Not from the people that I'm thinking of."

"Oh who? Ya boyfriend?" Penelope laughed.

I looked down. "My parents."

"Aw mommy-daddy issues." she snickered and left us.

I sighed as the twins told me to not let her get to me. I agreed, but it's not that easy.

And when I got home, Mom and Dad weren't home, and Hazel hogged the TV, so I just read. Evening came and my parents arrived. I gave them time to rest for an hour. After, I knocked on their door and slowly opened it. "Mom, Dad, I got a 100 on my te-"

But I was cut short from Hazel's snapping, "Excuse?"

Dad looked at me. "Amy, Hazel was sharing something."

"Tell us later." Mom added.

I slowly nodded and went to my room. And when Hazel was finished, apparently, Mom and Dad forgot that they said they'd listen to me after. So I tried to share my grades again. But, my parents made an excuse that they'll hear it next time since they have letters and work to do.

See? They forget about me. And, no time for me, but there's time for Hazel.
