Amy's POV
Beep. Beep. My alarm clock went on and I bolted up. "Ugh."
I scratched my head, took a shower and got dressed. After putting on a white button down, beige skirt and white Converse, I noticed the shirt I borrowed from Toby. I put it in my bag and walked to school.
"Hey!" Bella greeted as I walked into the classroom.
"Sup." Bridget followed.
"Hey guys." I smiled.
"So how were you yesterday?" Bridget smiled.
"You see..." I giggled.
Then I told them about going over to the McDonough household. Bella laughed. "LUCKY! The last time I met them was months and months ago- in a meet and greet."
We all chuckled, then when Toby walked in, I smiled at my friends. "Hold on."
"Take your time." teased Bridget.
I gave her the whatever look and approached Toby. "Hey Sleepy." he chuckled.
"Wait. What?" I said.
"You fell asleep when we were watching. Ri and I took you home. Hazel took us to your room and there. You were fast asleep."
I blushed madly, and the twins' snickering weren't helping. "Oh. Thanks for that. Guess I'll thank Hazel later."
He gave a thumbs up. "By the way," I said, "Here."
I handed him his shirt. "Oh thank you." he grinned.
"You're welcome."
We went to our respective seats as soon as our teacher came in. Time went by faster. Maybe it was because of the fact that I was slightly thinking about Toby. Ok, thinking A LOT about Toby. But when class ended, he approached me. "Amy, wanna come with me to the studio?"
"Huh?" I asked.
"We're recording in one of your dad's studios today. Wanna come?"
I looked at Bella and Bridget. Bella nodded. "We both have practice. Again."
"Oh. Ok, then." I smiled at Toby.
"Let's go! Con is picking us up."
"Ok."
Toby and I said goodbye to the twins and went to the front of the school building to wait for Connor. When he pulled onto the driveway, he rolled down the window. "Picking up the happy couple." he teased.
We both blushed but protested. "We're not a couple."
"Right, right. Come on in."
Toby took the front passenger seat while I took the back. "Where's Riley?" I curiously asked.
Toby replied, "Already in the studio."
"Ah."
We got to the studio, which I'm already familiar with. Riley was already tracking some vocals, so we all just waved at him. Connor sat on a chair while Toby and I plopped onto the couch. He then tapped me. "Psst. Let's take a selfie." he smiled.
"Oh, ok."
He moved closer and snapped away. He immediately went to Twitter. "What's your username?" Toby asked.
"It's @AmyyyHill." I answered.
"Alright."
He then tweeted and showed me. It was our selfie, and he captioned it:
@TobyMcDonough Studio hanging with @AmyyyHill :)
"Let me follow you too." he winked.
"Oh wow. Thanks." I grinned.
Then we noticed that Riley had gone out and now it was Connor's turn to track vocals. If Riley's voice was powerful, Connor's was smooth. Varied- that's good. "Hey Amy." Riley suddenly said as he sat beside us.
I said, "Oh hi."
He went on his phone, then eventually, it was Toby's turn to track vocals. I didn't realize that I was staring at him. I mean, who wouldn't though? His voice is so clear. When he came out, Riley and Connor sat by a table to discuss some stuff. Toby went back to sit beside me on the couch. "How was it?" he grinned.
"Great. Really great." I nodded.
"Thank you." he chuckled.
And there it was. An awkward silence fell between us. I fiddled with my skirt hem while Toby fixed his hair. "So..." he started.
"So..." I mimicked.
"So, Amy. Are you ok?"
"Huh?"
Toby shyly looked away. "I don't want to be nosy, so I hope everything is fine with you and...well, your family. And I guess in school too."
"Ooooh...well, I guess I'm alright for now. I have Bella and Bridget...and..." I stopped midway. I wanted to say you, but wouldn't that be weird?
Toby then spoke ahead. "That's good. You know...you can come to me, or Riley and Connor, anytime your down."
I smiled. "I will."
