Melody's P.O.V

We still had about ten minutes until we were expected to be in homeroom. But, it's not like I had anything better to do anyway. I sat down in my seat, and pulled out a novel I had just begun, called Wuthering Heights.

"Good Morning Ms. Adams." My homeroom teacher Mr. Evans greeted me. He was a young teacher and all the girls fell head over heels for him, while all the boys envied him. I on the other hand paid him no mine, and I couldn't help but think that it bothered him alot.

"Yeah you too." I quickly muttered back, then turned my attention fully back into the novel. I head him groan.

"You seem engrossed in that book. Would you mind if I ask what you're reading?" He asked trying to catch my attention. But he just annoyed me, causing me to roll my eyes. Other girls would "die" to be in my postion.

"Yes I actually would," I answered back truthfully. I wasn't one to lie about how I felt. He seemed taken back by my honesty and was lost for words. I watched him open his mouth, then close it back suddenly. I tried not to laugh. I went back to reading my book just as the homeroom bell rang. Great! Stupid cocky arrogant teacher took up all of my time.

I dreaded homeroom. I had homeroom with all the "jocks" and "popular" people. But I don't understand why it bothered me so much, either way I'd have classes with people I didn't like, it's not like I had any friends anyway. Everyone began to file into the classroom, and take their seats. I didn't bother to go back to my book, with knowledge that the classroom would get loud, and just piss me off even more then I am right now, so I just placed it back into my bag.

When the finally bell rang for homeroom, and everyone was settled Mr. Evans began to take attendance, each time he read a name the girls would say "here" in a sweet way that they thought was sexy, but it really was pathetic. Mr. Evans would nodd to the ugly girls, and wink to the pretty ones, while they erupted into giggles.

Just to piss him off even more when he delibertely called my name, I didn't answer. He continued to call my name several times, and I ignored him. He knew I was here, I don't understand why he had to call my name for attendance. I guess I'd pushed his last button because he showed up at my desk, and tapped on it impatiently, until I looked up at him. "I had just called your name over ten times, and you never responded. Did you not hear me?" He asked, as the classes attention turned toward us.

I nonchalantly answered his question. "Oh I heard you. I just decided not to answer you."

His eyes began to get darker, but I wasn't frightened. "Why?" He asked me angrily.

"You obviously knew I was here. You talked directly to me. I don't understand the need to call my name for attendance, knowing that I am already here. Is it because you love to call my name? Sorry Sr. But I only date guys born in my millenium." I answered him flashing him a toothy smile.

I tried to stifle a laugh, as the whole class erupted into laughter. You could see the smoke coming out of his ears. Truthfully, I have no idea what has gotten into me. I usually dont go this far with my rudeness, I guess he just caught me at the wrong time.

I watched as he stormed away from my desk, and sat down continuing where he left off with the attendance, making sure not to call my name again.

Finally, the bell rang for first period. I swear I heard Mr. Evans call me to stay after class, but if he did I ignorned him. Since I already had all of my things for science, I headed up the flight of stairs that led to the science wing. I casually strolled into the room and took my seat. Ugh, I groaned this class also consisted of the jocks and popular kids. I had Harmony, Kaylee, Arianna, Bryan, Ashley, Austin, Nicole, Stacee, Ryan, Wesley, Conner, Traycee, Tristian, Chris, Charlie, Matt, Luke, and TODD.... Ect.
