Carter Reynolds POV
"Don't act like this isn't our fault," Madi appeared behind me while I was outside the hotel texting.
"I'm not acting," I sighed and turned around.
"We're the ones who got Melissa into that house in the first place and now Gilinsky is missing," Madi said and pointed between us, "We did this. WE have to fix it."
"No, we don't," I said, "We can pretend like it never happened."
"Guess you don't have to worry about the guilt eating you alive," Madi said.
"What happened to the badass chick that didn't care about anything?"
"That was before I fucking messed up Jack's life with this idea of being a matchmaker and before I met you and you ruined my whole outlook on how I'm supposed to look at things. Because of you, we made Matt think he destroyed his friend's life. We probaly made Maya break up with him and get with Kian because of that. This is all our fault and I don't see how you can be okay with it," Madi whisper-yelled so no one would hear.
"Victoria, it will be okay," I used her real name to calm her down which had the opposite effect.
"Don't use my name as if it would help. This is all our fault and you need to help me fix it. We are calling Melissa and convincing her that we are trying to help and get Jack back," Madi said.
"Madi, how are we going to do it without everyone finding out we caused this?" I asked her and she finally smiled.
"By leaving right now in the middle of the night. I packed your bags already," Madi said.
"I just want you to know, Madison, I'm driving," I said and went into the hotel to get my bags.
"Already in my car," Madi said, "Just get in and drive while I talk to Melissa."

Dakota Smith POV
"Where the fuck are they?" I woke to Connor yelling and then a knock on my bedroom door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Is Madi in there?" Cameron asked.
"Not in my bedroom. Did you check hers?" I asked.
"All of hers and Carter's stuff is gone including them," Cameron said through the door.
"I'll be out there in a second."
