The One and Only

Chapter 15

                     Cameron's Point Of View

        It's been a year since I've rescued Kyleigh. She told me all that happened and I told her that it was alright and that Indigo is no longer going to bother us. My family accepted her into the family and we found a new home. We bought a house big enough for all of us. We each have a room and there is two bathrooms and a huge kitchen. Being vampires doesn't mean we can't eat. We just prefer not to eat because the blood filled us up... That day that Kyleigh killed Indigo was... words can't even describe it. I'm almost scared to touch her because of what had happened... As I returned to my normal self.. Her hand went to my chest and I felt something warm touch my heart. It was enough to turn my humanity switch on. She's the only one who can do it. She really is special. The one and only witch. She knows a lot of spells now because Brandi gave her Trinity's spell book and they've been going at it since we got back.

     I sit near the fire place watching the crackling fire. I have a glass with a little bit of scotch in it. I take a sip and set it down on the arm of the arm chair I am in. I reach into my pocket and fiddle with the little box. It's dark and everyone else is asleep.  Except me..I pull my hand out of my pocket and look at the fire. I place the glass on my lips and I look in he door way and Kyleigh is in one of my T- Shirts and socks. Dejia Vu... I lower my glass and she says "Can't sleep?" I nod and she walks over to me. She sits on the arm of the chair and says "Yeah.. me too." I think about the little box in my pocket. I want her for an eternity.. I want to be hers and her to be mine. Our two souls as one. I take a drink of my scotch and I place it on the table next to me "Kyleigh..." "Hmm?" She says. I stand up and I grab her hand and make her stand. I look at her. My heart races as I tell her this "I love you, Kyleigh. I want to spend my whole life with you. I've had many girls but you're the one who makes me feel like this. I would do anything for you.." I go down on one knee and pull out that little box. I open it up and see her face light up. I show her this beautiful diamond in the center of the ring and on the sides of that diamond is sapphires. Her eyes widen and fill with tears. "Would you marry me?" Her hands go to her mouth as she nods. She cries for joy and says "Yes.." I place the ring on her left ring finger and hug her. I pull her into a passionate kiss. I feel her tears but I do not wipe then away. I'm very glad that she said yes. I didn't know what I was going to do if she rejected me.

       I stand up and she hugs me. I hold her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck. My heart pounds in my chest and I buried my face into her hair taking in the coconut smell. I can feel her her tears dampen my shirt and I smile widely. My hand goes up her back and to her neck. Then it moves to her cheek and I pull her away. I give her a kiss on her forehead then I give her a passionate kiss on her lips.  I then pick her up and her legs wrap around my waist. My arms wrap around her, holding her so close to me. Her arms wrap around my neck and I bring her into my bed room. I lay her on the bed and she smiles at me. My heart stops. This beautiful girl is going to be my wife. I smile at the thought. I'm happy with her. She could never be replaced. I love her. I lay on top of her and I kiss her sweet neck. I've been around her for so long now that I can control myself around her. I'm not afraid that I'll kill her anymore. Her soft skin is upon my lips. Palms to Palms. Nose to Nose.... Skin to Skin. I'm loving every second of her touch. Our shirts are off and we are kissing all over. I do not want this night to end. I'm finally happy.
