I am doing a bit more gifs of Lucas since I found a lot and I really wanna show them:) also just pretend he's hugging Aaliyah:)

Yesterday, Lucas told me everything. Laila was dead. She sacrificed herself along with 319 others, for nothing. And according to him, it was Kane's fault.

I saw red. The moment Kane walked over, asking if I was okay, I lunged at him. My brother shouted for me to stop, but two guards grabbed me before I could land a punch. Next thing I knew, I was thrown in lock-up. Right alongside Bellamy.

He was pacing while I sat against the wall, arms crossed. I'd told him what happened to Laila, but neither of us had much else to say.

Then Kane walked in. I didn't even look at him.

"How long are you gonna keep us locked up in here?" Bellamy asked, his voice tight with frustration.

"Until I'm confident you two are no longer a threat to the others," He replied.

I chuckled out loud. "I'm not a threat to anyone. This is ridiculous." I was really starting to overuse that word, but everything was ridiculous.

Kane ignored me, dragging a chair into the room. "Let's continue," he said. "You said there were hundreds of Grounders attacking. Two, three hundred?"

"We didn't count," Bellamy said, rolling his eyes.

"Why do you think they attacked? What provoked them?" Kane pressed.

I clenched my fists. This old man was wasting our time. "We were here. That was enough," Bellamy snapped.

"We're wasting time. The others didn't just vanish into thin air," I spoke up. "They were taken and we need to go after them."

"A search team is prepping to leave," Kane continued, "but not before we've gotten the intel we need from one of you."

"I need to be on that team," Bellamy said, his voice calmer now. Almost desperate. "Please."

Kane barely blinked. "It's out of the question. You're not trained. It's too dangerous."

I scoffed. "Not trained? We've fought more in the last few weeks than you ever have."

Kane barely acknowledged me. "Those are my people out there," Bellamy tried again.

Kane crouched in front of him. "They're my people too. You wanna help them? Tell me what we're up against. Grounder tactics. Their numbers. What kind of weapons they used."

"Arrows and spears. Axes. Swords," I finally looked at him. "Their teeth."

Kane frowned. "No guns?"

I shook my head.

"But you had guns," he pointed out.

Bellamy exhaled sharply. "The guns we found at the aid depot levelled the playing field. Maybe, maybe if we had more bullets we could've-"

"There were more bullets," Kane interrupted. "Search team just returned to the bunker. Found two more barrels with rifles and a third filled with bullets."

Bellamy looked at me, guilt flashing in his eyes. "We should've looked harder."

Before I could say anything, the door opened. Two guards dragged someone inside, and my stomach twisted.

Murphy.

"What's he doing here?" Bellamy and I snapped at the same time.

Murphy, of course, asked the same about us.

"Excuse me, sir. Dr. Griffin cleared Mr. Murphy out of medical," a women holding him explained.

"Put him over there," Kane ordered.

A guard grabbed my arm. "On your knees."

They tied my hands behind my back. Murphy and Bellamy got the same treatment.

"Well, this should be fun," Murphy muttered.

I shot him a glare. I wasn't laughing.

Then, gunshots.

The guards rushed out. Bellamy and I exchanged a look.

A scream echoed from outside. It was Raven. She was probably in surgery.

Murphy shifted. "Yeah, that was me at the Grounder camp," he said casually, as if I cared. "I did everything I could not to scream, but eventually-"

"But eventually, you broke, and you told them everything," Bellamy finished for him, disgusted.

Murphy smirked. "And you wouldn't have, because you're better than me."

"Damn right," Bellamy shot back. "I'm not a traitor. I didn't tell them where they could find us."

"And I did," Murphy admitted. "Yeah, I did. After they tortured me in their prison camp for three days," He leaned back, tilting his head. "But go ahead. You just keep believing, even if you are in here, just like me."

"Enough," I snapped, making them both stop.

Night had fallen, and we were still locked up when the door finally creaked open. Finn, Monroe, and Sterling stepped inside.

Finn knelt beside us, pulling a bag off his shoulder. "Get up. We're going after them."

He started untying me and Bellamy.

"About time," I muttered.

We were about to leave when Murphy piped up. "Wait, what about me?"

Bellamy hesitated. I could see the wheels turning in his head. Don't do it, I thought. But then he moved toward Murphy.

"Wait, no," Finn said quickly. "What are you doing?"

"He's coming with us," Bellamy said.

"No way," Finn argued.

Bellamy gave him a look. "He's been in the Grounder's camp."

Murphy jumped in, sensing an opportunity. "He's right. Okay? I can take you there."

Finn's jaw tightened, but before he could say anything, Monroe cut in. "Hey, Sterling just signalled. Someone's coming."

I turned to Finn. "What about my brother?"

"He knows," Finn assured me. "I told him to stay here."

"Then I'm staying too," I said immediately.

Finn shook his head. "No, you have to come with us. They'll notice if you're missing, you were under arrest. Lucas will be fine."

I hesitated, glancing at the door.

Finn lowered his voice. "Aaliyah, come on."

I exhaled sharply and nodded.

"You sure no one saw us?" I asked as we moved through the trees.

"Shhh, keep it down," Finn hissed.

A figure stepped into our path. A guard. And beside him, Abby.

Crap.

"You're late," she said.

I frowned in confusing.

Finn handed her the bag. "Bellamy decided to bring company."

"He's the only person that's been in their camp," Bellamy justified.

Abby studied Murphy, then handed Finn two guns. The guard passed one to Bellamy.

"Find my son," the guard said. "His name is Nathan Miller."

Miller's dad.

Abby's gaze landed on all of us. "Bring them home."

We nodded. Then we took off.
