Andy smiles reading the email, finally moving to London and out of his childhood home seems within reach. He's been looking for room for ages, so when Sonny mentioned one of his friends looking for a roommate he took the opportunity with both hands.
Sonny and him met ages a go at photoshoot for Adidas, They hit off immediately, talking about music and movies for hours in a row. Sonny and him also do shoots together for small clothing companies a lot and when he needs a model to expand his portfolio Andy knows he can always call Sonny.
"How do you know this friend again?" Andy asks. Sonny is sitting across from him eating a burger, ketchup on the strangers parts of his face. He may have pretty face, but he's not a pretty eater.
"He models as well." Andy can barely focus on what Sonny says, because he's talking with his mouth full and all he sees is the chewed on food. "Does YouTube too. You probably know him." Sonny mumbles, whipping out his phone and showing Andy a picture.
"That's Ryan Beaumont." Andy exclaims, "He's modelled for major brands like fucking Gucci." Andy doesn't get starstruck quickly, but as a photographer to work with a model like Rye is the dream.
Sonny just nods as a conformation and steals a couple of Andy's fries.
"I can't believe you eat like this, but you're not fat like me." Andy groans, swatting Sonny's hand away when he reaches out for his fries again.
Rye loves his job as youtuber. He loves talking to his fans and creating content, but sometimes he hates it. He hates to constant pressure to upload regularly, he hates the rumors and most of all he hates the hate. The amount of toxic comments he receives on the daily is insane. Comments about his sexuality, because men who like fashion must be faggots right? People calling him ugly or attacking the way he talks. Once you start putting yourself on the internet your life is always under a magnifying glass. Every single thing you do gets dissected and suddenly everything seems to have some kind of underlying message. For this reason Rye is insanely protective of his private life. He made the mistake of going public with a relationship once, his at the time girlfriend received thousands of death threats and the amount of 'exposing' and hate accounts made was insane. Not that it seems to matter if he's actually in a relationship with someone, these days it seems that every girl he's seen with or even likes an Instagram post of is his new rumored girlfriend, it's insane.
He sometimes misses the times he was just a model, when his YouTube channel had a couple hundred subscribers and he could just do and post whatever he wanted without having to consider possible consequences.
