no new video this week. i am taking some time of to just focus on my son and i. this week is always a hard one for me as today my kids mum died three years ago. i hope you will respect our privacy at this time.
Last year on the anniversary of Elena's death Brooklyn completely focused on his work. He completely ignored the fact and pretended like it never happened only to break down that night. He completely lost it in the middle of the supermarket, he called Mikey who found him sobbing on the floor in the fruit isle with a group of people gathered around him and Thor sitting next to him eating a banana. The toddler looked pretty happy and not at all bothered, but social services still got involved and explaining the whole situation and convincing them Brooklyn is a fit parent was difficult. Which makes sense as Brooklyn was seventeen at the time and his history with addiction didn't exactly help either.
Mikey had been the one to help Brooklyn with all the paper work and went with him to each and every meeting with social services, along with a lawyer of course. The whole thing had been draining, so now Brooklyn is doing everything in his power to avoid anything alike to ever happen again. This year he's spending the week back in his home town with his parents, siblings, Elena's parents and brothers. Remembering her together with people who cared for her seems like a way better option than pushing your feelings away and pretending you're fine.
"I am glad he's back home right now." Mikey smiles, sitting down at the kitchen table where Sonny and Harvey are sat as well. "Last year was hard." Mikey had also been the only one actually in London at the moment as everyone else was attending some kind of event, so he couldn't exactly ask any of the other boys for help which was rather nerve wrecking.
"Me too. He's gotten a lot better though." Harvey smiles, "I think if he had given it some attention last year he would've been fine too, but he just pushed it all away and that never works." Sonny just nods, he's happy Brooklyn is home and he believes it is the best for his mate, but the flat hasn't been this silent in forever and it's hard to think he has to survive that for a week.
