"Is your date tonight your boyfriend?" The interviewer asks, pushing the mike in Sonny's face.
Sonny shakes his head, "No he's not. He's my mate Brooklyn." He explains, imagine that Sonny and Brooklyn dating, absolutely insane.
"Does that mean you're single then? Because I think a lot of people, including myself, would be rather happy with that." She winks, twirling her fake blonde hair with her finger. Talk about being professional.
Again Sonny shakes his head, "Not single." At least it he doesn't think he is, Jack just needed space, that doesn't mean they're not together anymore, right? "Or well it's complicated, but I am dedicated to one person." He explains awkwardly.
"Then why are they not with you tonight?" The interviewer questions.
"Cause it's complicated and honestly none of your business either." Sonny snaps and Jack pauses the video.
Watching the interview on YouTube makes Jack feel like shit, Sonny is great a putting up an act, but Jack knows Sonny and he sees right through it. He sees that Sonny is hurting and barely holding on. He's in the same position and maybe he even feels worse, because he put them here. Jack never meant for things to escalate like this, but Sonny saying he would like the come out as a couple scared the fuck out of Jack, made him want to crawl back into the closet just a little bit further. He loves Sonny so much, but he is also so scared. Sure it's 2019 and a lot of people are accepting, but his parents, sister and some friends at home aren't. According to them Jack's lifestyle is a sin and if they'd find out they'd probably shun him. Part of him is also still struggling with accepting that falling for the same sex is not a sin, because when you grow up believing it is totally changing your mindset is difficult.
"You look so different without you bangs." Andy laughs, they're currently shooting some pictures for Rye's new video and social media. "Not bad, just different."
Rye hums and climbs up a wall covered in spray paint with ease even though the wall has to be at least five feet. Rye is flexible and strong in ways Andy could only imagine being, compared to Rye's fit body Andy is practically fat. He knows he isn't but he's soft for sure. "How does this look?" Rye asks and lets his legs dangle of the edge, his elbows rest on his knees and his had on his hands. He's bending forward a little and wears the classic stoic expression all e-boys wear.
