Sirius groaned as he sat up at 5:30am the next morning. "Fuck," he muttered, rubbing his head and squinting as he looked around the room.He woke up naked, and rolled out of his bed to put some pants on. He stumbled out of the bed to their bathroom, where he found James lying in the bath with only his boxers and a pair of sunglasses on.
Sirius grabbed a glass of water from the sink and threw it at him. James woke up with a shock, the sunglasses sliding off his face. "Agh!Shit mate," he groaned. "My head is fucking banging.
"You're not the only one," Sirius said, sipping a tall glass of water.
"Ugh," James mumbled, sliding back into the empty bath and going back to sleep.
Sirius heard a cry from the bedroom, so he stumbled back through the door. Pete had fallen out of the bed, and was now wretching into a bowl.
"Oh for fucks sake Pete go to the bathroom," Remus said, rolling out of bed. Next to his bed was half a bottle of gin, and there was a can of Diet Coke spilt on the floor. Clothes were all over the room and so were numerous bottles. Sirius didn't know whether he passed out when he reached the dorm rooms last night - the only thing he could remember was he was with Remus (who was definitely not drunk enough for such a bad hangover at that point).
"Morning lads," Sirius said, sitting on the bed next to Remus. "James is in the bathroom, you want to wake him up when you head in there Pete?"
Pete nodded, crawling to the bathroom. "Is he sick?" Remus asked, searching his bedside table for a bottle of water.
"He's asleep in the bath," Sirius mumbled.
"What? He could drown!" Remus said wide-eyed, getting up to go and investigate.
Sirius grabbed his arm and pulled him back down. "Moony, the bath his empty," he said, laughing a little bit (which hurt his head). "You think I'd let him kip in a bath full of water?"
"I guess not," Remus said laughing, rubbing his head. "God it hurts!"
Sirius put his arm around him, rubbing his back gently. "I didn't think you drank that much last night Moony."
Remus stared at the half bottle of gin, and another empty one at the foot of his bed. "We must have had something when we got back last night."
"Glass of water?" Sirius asked, getting up suddenly.
"Yes please," Remus sighed, crawling back into bed.
Sirius went into the bathroom where Peter was cradling the toilet and James was ranting to him about something - he seemed concerned. "What's up Jim?" Sirius said, pouring two glasses of water.
"I have really, really, really fucked up - I think"
"You think? What happened?" Sirius asked, giving him a hand out of the bath tub.
The three of them wandered into the bedroom and sat on Remus' bed. There was a moment of awkward silence, before James started. "Sirius, are you still with Marlene?" James asked, not making eye contact with any of them.
Sirius looked at Remus, who seemed a tad upset by the notion. "No, not anymore," Sirius said quietly. Remus perked up.
"Okay, well," James started.
"Spit it out then mate," Peter said, throwing back a couple of head ache tablets.
"Marlene and I had sex last night."
"What?" Sirius and Peter said at the same time. Remus was so shocked he could barely string together a coherent sentence.
There was a small moment of silence. "What about Lily!"All three of them cried at once.
