"Look it's a rainbow,"
She smiled as she let herself relive the memories of her childhood. The days when the constant nagging of her elders didn't mean anything to her, the days when she simply enjoyed the beautiful view of the soft reflection that welcomed itself on her windowstills. She remembered the innocent joy that ran through her veins as she excitedly tugged on her parents ragged sheets. She loved the feeling of the light breeze that hugged her in its embraces, seeming to hold onto her dearly. The feathery taps of the droplets finding home on her rosy cheeks...but that was some time ago.

Now, the droplets seem to claw their way into the pores of her once velvet cheeks, now swollen due to the salty substance that camouflaged itself with the fresh gift of nature from above. The comforting embrace of mother nature now brought her slender limbs frantically to her pale figure, reminding her of her place in this world.

She chuckled as uneasy gusts of smoke left her cracked lips, pushing the bud into her ears she let herself escape. She escaped into the depths of thought, unlocking the box that contained her most treasured memory. One that brought a genuine smile to her lips, but one that brought her aching heart to rapidly tear itself apart. She let herself flow with the soft melody, engulfing her.

She was back in the comfort of her cotton sheets, a familiar salty liquid rested on the surface of her trembling lips. The soft sheets of the hours of endless research and education filling the silence of the uneasy night. The flapping of the material and occasional hiccups introduced themselves on behalf of her clawing heart.

The slight shuffle of the evidence of her efforts clapped as they danced their way to the unwelcoming wooden linings. She was exhausted, standing on the edge of her towering thoughts as she slid the familiar buds of melody in. She prayed that the journey of the soft beats would form the bridge for her descending, and it did. The unfamiliar tune welcomed itself, crept in and eased her quivering chest. She didn't understand the language but she didn't need to, the feeling of comfort that the unknown lyrics provided her knocked her out of her trance. With rosy cheeks, a slightly quivering heart and flustered fingers, she scanned the name of the group in the title and frantically typed the three letters in, B T S.

Through hours of reading and analysing the meaning of the songs, new memories of mindlessly dancing in her room and a new found source of tranquility had formed. The songs that she got ridiculed for listening to had become her home. The very first song that introduced itself to her became her home. The lyrics somehow perfectly captured all her pent up frustrations and had eased her through endless nights of loneliness. Although she does not exactly recall what lines struck her heartstrings and comforted her, she remembers the soft feeling of prosperity each time she lays on her cotton sheets with buds in her ears, humming the melody of her home, spring day.
