The a.u where Sarah's an fbi agent and her and Jacob are married with a kid.
"Who are you talking to?" Sarah says walking in with Bryce on her hip. Her hair was tied up in a bun placed neatly on her head with a few curls sticking out here and there.
"Just Laura," Jacob says, walking to her and taking Bryce from her.
"Daddy!" Bryce squeals, hugging him tightly in a bear onesie. Jacob pushed back his hair and placed a kiss on his forehead.
"Hey, buddy, what have you been up to?" He asks.
"Just woke up," Bryce says putting his thumb in his mouth.
"Honey, what did I say about putting your thumb in your mouth?" Sarah says crossing her arms around her chest.
"Yucky!" Bryce said taking it out of his mouth and then put it back in. Sarah rolled her eyes and thought, Honestly, why do I even try?
"Alright, off to bed!" Jacob says, running with Bryce to his room. Sarah watches them go into Bryce's room before she slips into her bathroom, grabs her phone, and calls Annabell.
"Agent 616, we have an urgent message for you. We have pinpointed three possible locations for the next heist. We will give you this information when you come into work on Monday and please be high alert, since our sources are telling us that the thief might know where you live." Annabell says and Sarah can tell she's trying to sound professional but the voice cracks, clearly indicating she's worried.
"Hey, I'll be okay. Remember when we thought all those other people knew where I lived? They were just bluffing. Besides, I haven't come across a criminal I couldn't take down." Sarah says, but a part of her is scared this criminal is a lot smarter than the ones they've taken down in the past. The criminal in question seems to just disappear or be in two places at once. It makes no sense.
"Okay, but be careful. I'll see you on Monday. Bye!" Annabel says.
"Bye," Sarah says and hangs up the phone. That's when Jacob comes into the room.
"Ready for bed?" He says and Sarah just smiles and nods.
___________________________ Time Skip________________________________
Sarah, Jacob and Bryce were sitting on the couch, watching Frozen for the millionth time. Jacob hated Frozen. He had to watch it every single day because Bryce loved it. He swore, if he hears let it go one more time things are gonna break.
Sarah despised Frozen too, but she was getting some work done on her computer because of how mesmerized Bryce was watching Elsa make snowflakes appear out of her hand. A large crash was heard from the window downstairs. Bryce screams and starts crying, but Jacob's reaction was way too calm for something like this, it was as if he had been startled all his life and he's used to it. Sarah had gone through years of training and still couldn't be calm in these kinds of situations. She shook herself out of those thoughts and grabbed Bryce.
"Okay, Jacob, listen to me. Go take Bryce go into his room, lock the door, and stay in there until I tell you to come out." Sarah says sternly, giving Bryce to Jacob.
"Sarah, what's happening," Jacob says, being very confused on how Sarah was being so heroic and acting like she had kind of expected this.
"Okay, here's the thing. I'm not really an engineer. I actually work as an agent for the government," Sarah says. Jacob just about had a heart attack. Sarah was an F.B.I. agent and this was bad. This was very, very bad.
"Sarah, I need to tell you something," Jacob started saying.
"There's no time. Go to the room. I love you," Sarah says, standing on her toes to kiss his cheeks and then placed a soft kiss to Bryce's afro. Jacob runs to the room and places Bryce on the bed. "You stay right here. I'm gonna go help mommy, okay?" He says but Bryce is too busy bawling his eyes out to hear what he says.
Sarah runs downstairs and finds about six people trying to get upstairs. She punches one in the face and kicks in a place no one should ever want to be kicked. He screams and falls to the floor. She grabs another one and twists their arm in a certain angle. It broke. He also falls to the ground screaming. She turns around ready to kick their butts but she finds them on the ground with Jacob smiling down at them. Her jaw drops down to the floor.
"Where did you learn how to do that" She asks astonished.
Jacob shrugs his shoulders. "I work out," he says smugly. Sarah knew that can't be the full story. She's had years of training. She only took out two people and Jacob was as good. Dare she say, maybe better than her. They hear footsteps running towards them. Here we go again, Sarah thinks and turns to face whoever made that sound.
"Hey, look, girl. We don't want to hurt you," He says.
"I wouldn't stress about that," Sarah tells him, ready to swing a punch.
"We just want the boy," He says and Sarah's punch hangs there in mid air before it falls back to place.
"What? Why do you want him?" Sarah asks, her voice cracking and on the verge of tears.
The guy laughs and looks at Jacob "You didn't tell her? Oh sweetheart, your husband," But the guy didn't get to finish because a gunshot was heard. Then, he was on the ground with a pool of blood underneath him.
"Oh my god."
