We paid for our stuff and put them on. They were both fitted, but Jessie's was a V-neck.
After we left, we went for ice cream.

Chapter Two
We entered the ice cream parlor and ordered. For me, a chocolate fudge sundae and Jessie got rocky road with Oreo crumbs.
We left and by the time we got near the bookstore we were finished and laughing hard.
"Hello ladies."
I looked up and saw two guys. One was muscular the other was kinda lanky.
"You're both pretty sexy." the lanky one said
I held on to Jessie's arm.
We were pulled into the ally by the bookshop.
"Well just my luck." the guy who had me said "Mute girl."
He stunk of alcohol.
I tried to get away.
He only held on tighter. "Stop struggling."
I frowned.
Someone pulled the guy off me.
"Do you really think rape is a good idea?"
I recognized that accent. "Seth." My voice inaudible.
There were a few grunts then someone picked me up.
I opened my eyes when I heard a door close.
Lights blinded me.
I groaned, annoyed by the light and looked at the person carrying me.
My voice was caught in my throat.
Seth looked down at me and smiled.
Where'd my damned voice go?!?!
"What happened?" Gram said
"She fainted." Jessie said "We were walking back and she just blacked out. Thank goodness Seth saw what happened."
Such a good lier she is.
Gram looked at me. "Take her to her room."
Jessie started to follow, but Gram called her back.
I didn't want to be left with this guy. Especially not alone.
We got to the second floor.
I regained my voice. "I can walk."
He looked at me but set me down.
I took a step, but my legs gave out.
Seth caught me and carried me again. "And you can walk."
I bit my lip before any of the smart comments could slip out.
We reached my room and he set me down.
"Close your eyes," I told him
He did as I said and my eyes lingered on his lips.
I snapped out of it and used my magic to change into my pajamas.
"Done?"
"Yes."
He opened his eyes.
I felt a pain in my head and closed my eyes.
