(Jessie's POV still)
I kissed Riley's cheek then stood.
I looked at her.
Her hand twitched.
I gasped. "Tyler get her dad and doctor Luchenes."
"Ok."
I went in the hallway and found the pay phones. I took my cell out and called Seth.
It rang a few times.
"Seth!"
"Jess?"
"Get down here."
"I was going on?"
"Just do it before she dies." I hung up then went back into her room
Terrible lie but it had to be done. He asks too many questions.
Tyler took my hand.
I smiled at him.
Gram and Riley's dad were beyond happy. They looked like they just hit the lottery.
I held on to Tyler.
We watched as Dr. Luchenes worked his magic.
~ Seth's POV ~
I drove to the hospital and it was 10:47. I went to Riley's floor.
"Seth calm down. She probably was over exaggerating." Paul said
I thought about it then continued.
"Paul."
Paul nodded and continued on like me.
We made it to her room.
Mr. Luchenes was talking with Donald.
Jessie hugged me. "She woke up!"
I smiled.
She pulled away. "You're late."
I smiled sheepishly. "Sorry."
She smiled.
"You should apologize." he said "That was a horrible lie."
She pulled me into the room.
Riley had her head turned towards Ruth.
"Riley?"
She turned her head, slowly though.
Paul stepped forward. "Hey Ry. Finally awake I see."
Ruth stood and walked towards me. She touched my arm then left.
Paul started talking to her nurse and Jessie went outside with Tyler.
I sat in the chair by her bedside.
"Hey gorgeous." I said
She smiled a little.
I took her hand. "I missed you. Without you everything's been boring and dull. The shops been so quiet. I can't tell you how bad I've wanted to hear the sound of your voice or your laughter."
"Seth." she said, her voice low, dry, and cracked
I sighed. "Its not the same without you, Ry."
