Jessie picked Nala up and we went into the kitchen.
Gram froze. "You won?"
I nodded.
She hugged me. "I'm so happy."

~ A week and a half later ~
We won our first volleyball game. Gram and dad was there to witness it.
Dad was living with us now. He had the room near Grams.
Jessie and I were co-captains of the team. We actually got games won because of us.
"And then what Rebecca?" dad asked
"I'm here because of her."
"You abandoned her." Gram pointed out
"It was the best choice for her at the time."
"She was nine!"
"She survived!"
"I don't even understand why your here."
"To see my daughter!"
"Think she wants to see you after you left her here."
"I wouldn't know." Rebecca said "You won't let me see her."
"This makes no sense..." Dad said
Jessie looked at me.
Seth walked into the hallway and attacked us.
Jessie and I screamed and ran downstairs.
He followed, laughing.
Dad appeared in the living room doorway.
I froze.
He wasn't a happy camper.
"Sorry." I said
A woman with black hair walked in. She gasped.
Gram gave me an apologetic look.
The woman hugged me.
"You're so beautiful."
I pushed her away.
"Riley."
I studied her.
"You don't remember your own mother?"
"My mother abandoned me. I wouldn't care if she was killed my bears."
"Riley!" dad scolded
I looked at the floor.
"Donald." Gram said
Jessie touched my shoulder.
"Don, can you not yell at her." Rebecca said
I turned around and took one step. My body was frozen and my vision blurred.
~ Seth's POV~
We stared at each other until she blacked out.
I caught her.
Jessie bit her lip.
I looked at Riley's parents. "You guys need to sort this mess out before Riley wakes up."
I took Riley up to her room and put her to lay down.
Jessie pulled the covers over her and Nala curled up on Riley's legs.
