meeting the family

I woke up to Nicolas alarm coming from the alarm that was right beside him, which looking at him he was still fast asleep, I will never understand how this boy can sleep for so long and never wake up. I tried shaking him to at least wake him up just a bit but nothing, so I started to hit him cause if not I don't think he will get out of bed this morning. Lucky Nicola finally started to wake up finally.

N-Why our you hitting me?

M-its a thing called waking up, you heard of it?

N-Yeah 

M- come on then lazy butt its 8 am and you got to be riding at 9 am so you might want to hurry up 

N-yeah, chill.

M- I will when you out of bed 

Finally, he got out of bed then we walked downstairs, into the kitchen and had some breakfast before getting ready for the day that was awaiting us. Nicola decided to have a shower so while he was in the shower, I looked out an outfit for today. In the end, I decided on a grey pair of breeches, a blue base layer, a pair of riding socks. I brushed my hair and put into a french braid, once  I was ready, I washed my face and brushed my teeth. While Nicola was finished getting dressed, I packed my bag, with my riding boots, helmet, and a couple of other things. Then Nicola walked down the stairs and got his shoes, while i did the same and also put on a warm jacket, we walked out the door and got into Nicola started the drive to his parent's house. He drove till we got to two big white gates, you could see the beautiful white house and the fields, Nicola parked his car outside the house, Olivier had just arrived, all three of us got out of both cars and started to chat.

O-Hey mia 

M- how you doing?

O- a bit jet lagged you?

M- kinda doesn't affect them that much.

As we were chatting Veronique came out of the house, obviously noticing that her two oldest sons were home after 3 weeks away, she walked towards us, giving both of the boys big hugs, and chatted to her boys, then she turned to me and also gave me a big hug.

V-its so nice to finally met you, I heard so much about you.

M-you too, you have a beautiful house.

We continued chatting for about 15 minutes, till Ludo came over obviously was waiting for us . The three of us and Ludo walked towards the barn, it was tidy but you could tell it was a family born, the first person I saw walking into the barn was Marta, she was Nicolas show groom, who I knew very well , since she used to work for my brother and after time she became my groom and my best friend , she moved to Belgium as she was closer to home,  which I understood perfectly .we did stay in touch for about a year but both our lives got a lot busier . When she saw me she gave me a big great hug . In the background, you could hear music playing in the background, which was so weird since my brother would never ever let the music be played in his barn. The philippaerts main rider, who would compete the future superstars, so Ludo got me to ride them since the horses needed to be worked, the first horse was a very well breed mare called child of love who was Legends of love and Chilli while so she would go far , she was a great little mare, she had a great jump, and loved to jump She showed great promise for the future after I finished riding her I rode another two mares Marple and Hurrican.
