Aristo was better she was in the vet clinic for 9 weeks but she was finally better,we still didn't know what really caused everything and if she could be ridden, but I didn't care I was happy to just have her, Life had been pretty stress free, no drama, competing was good, Bisquet and Harley were winning most competitions, Ace has grown a ton and is still growing. I was pretty happy. Like everyday I get up to get ready and leave for the barn, it was lunchtime, I was sitting having lunch with everyone, something we do every so often, as we became like a big family over the last couple of years. I was chatting away when my phone rang, I looked at the caller Id, it was Veronique Nicolas mom, she never called me we would text and that but shes never called me, I had a gut feeling something must have been wrong.
M-Hello.
V-Mia.-her voice was different normally, her voice was filled with joy but today it wasn't.
M-Whats wrong?
V-Don't panic, But Nicola was been taken to hospital and in surgery.
M-What happened ? how serious is it?
V-he fell off one of his younger horses, his shoulder is badly injured, but he should be okay.
M-It could have worse, lucky his okay.
V-He said that himself,I going to the hospital now
M-Okay, please keep me updated, and send him my love.
V-Will do.
I hang up the phone, and walked back to the table, everyone could see the worry on my face, they wanted to know what just happened. I told them of course even one was in shock, only a couple weeks ago the same thing happened to Olivier.
I got a couple of messages from Vernoqie updating me on Nicola, his surgery went well and the doctors were very happy on how it went. He would be out from riding for a couple of months which I knew, he wouldnt be too happy with but he couldn't do anything. I sent him a couple of texts before going to bed, I didn't sleep much but Ace sat on my lap, while i read to keep my mind off Nicola and I was hoping soon I would fall asleep.
