"What are you talking about?" Aman asked, Haleema knew how much she hated surprises so why would she even think of doing something like this? No wonder she wouldn't let Fatima and Fareeda tag along.
"This is meant to be bonding time, quality time to enjoy together. Why? Just why?".
"Ya Aman, I'm so sorry. I couldn't help myself. Ya Kamal was kind of desperate. Please hear him out" Haleema said rubbing her hands together to form a pleading gesture.
"So you think you've turned into a matchmaker or what? Haleema you don't understand what Kamal is making me go through and you also don't understand how this conversation will end. I've been avoiding him for the past week so I could get myself straight and help him see things more clearly." Aman said sadly.
"Let's just go in so we can all talk about this" she said to Haleema who was now practically speechless.

"Aman, I've missed you so so much. I'm also sorry I pushed your buttons, You don't know how this past week has been without my wife, my girl, my everything. I miss your voice" Kamal said and to his surprise, he saw nothing but anger in Aman's face.
"Say something... please" he said almost inaudibly.
"Kamal do you hear yourself? The whole reason of this whole fight is everything you just said. You are possessive and jealous and always always talking about making me yours. For crying out loud, I cannot even complain about a hectic day without you trying to make me yours. I want to be with you, I really do but I need you to understand that I am not ready for marriage, not right now."
Haleema, who had been texting Khaleefa secretly, asking him to come was now shocked at her sisters little outburst.
"Ya Aman... please calm down".
"Don't you ask me to calm down Haleema, you don't even understand the pressure on my neck... not from daddy, Sameer or Kamal. I do not need anymore than I deserve."
"Princess" Kamal sighed before continuing.
"I am honestly sorry for accusing you the other day and I am sorry things aren't going as well with your new boss. I cannot believe that you can now no longer even talk to me without feeling as if I'm going to choke you with my words. I do not wish to force you but rather be your best friend and also your shoulder when you're down. You're a strong woman and you're my partner. I should be relieving your stress and not adding to it. Please forgive me." he finished off.

"You're forgiven" Khaleefa's deep voice startled them all and he let out a little laugh.
"I couldn't interrupt Romeo over here so I decided to break the ice seeing as he has melted all our hearts.. right Aman?" he said sitting next to his sister.
"Ya Khaleefa how did you know we were here?" She asked him completely ignoring his previous statement.
"A little birdie told me." he said winking at Haleema who hid her face under her scarf.
"Khaleefa, thanks for clearing the air man. Your sister wants my heart to break" Kamal said.
"Well she has forgiven you. Besides, aren't you Mr lover lover? she knows you're perfection."
Aman couldn't believe the words coming out of her brothers ears. What does he mean? How can he come here and pick a side over something he had little knowledge over? Why would he just hand her over to his friend like that? Does he think they own her? All these questions raced over in her mind and she couldn't even look at her brother because of how angry she was.
"Haleema let's go. I have some things to do at home" she said as she got up "Aman what is so important? I just got here." Khaleefa added and before he could finish she was out the door with Haleema hastily following behind her. "Kamal get your keys. Let's follow these girls home" he said to his friend who was dumbfounded beside him.

KAMAL'S POV
Salam, hi Haleema, how are you? I said as Haleema answered my call. I've been such an emotional wreck this past week I had to call her as soon as I closed from work. I have no idea what I've been doing for the past week without Aman. "Ya Kamal ina wuni? (Good afternoon). I'm good. How are you?" she responded and I had to calm myself down before I could reply.
"Not good Haleema, your sister wants to kill me. I can't think, eat, or even function without my wife. Please Haleema, I have to see her, help me. I said all under one breath.
"my goodness, ya Kamal. I'm sorry to hear that but I don't think having you over at the house will help matters, she's been going through a lot as well and I really don't want to add to it."
Haleema, I'll do anything I practically yelled, please help me.
"Give me some time. I'll text you to let you know if I can do anything" and before I could answer, she hung up.
As I sat back into my car, I began to think on how to go over to Aman's house regardless of Haleema's warnings. I mean she's practically mine, I own her, don't I? She cannot tell me she doesn't want to get married to me. I love her too much to even let her go. I sat in my car for almost an hour when Haleema texted and asked me to meet them at Marrakech as soon as I could.
