"And who are you to ask me that" the lady called Aisha barked at Aman.
"I am the sister of the same man you are chasing. How dare you come here and think you can ruin our afternoon? Is this how you think you will get his attention ? By following him around? You should know better, life does not revolve around these men. Now please, calm down and tell me what's going on" Aman said as she moved closer to the angry lady.
Haleema and Maryam were too shocked to say anything. They were surprised at how Aman had the courage to speak up to this violent woman after the way she had treated their brother, but they were even more shocked that it was Khaleefa who was being treated like that, they never knew their brother had any women in his life, talk-less of women like this Aisha. They watched closely as Aman moved Aisha over to their table while Khaleefa and Jafar were in the toilet trying to get Khaleefa cleaned up.
"Hmm, can you imagine your so called brother? A lady like me? No! A lady of my class and caliber. I saw him at the cinema and I approached him and told him I want us to date and get married and he said he would think about it and I even gave him my number. Can you believe it's been two months? Two months! I've been calling him but he always tells me he's in Abuja only for me to find him here today. I promised myself that the next time I see him, I must hurt him the way he has hurt me with embarrassment." She yelled while shaking her legs.
"Aisha, is it ? Listen to yourself.. talking about class and what have you. Do you know that it isn't right for a woman to approach a man, it takes away so much from you. Let them do the approaching. Even in Islam, it is said that if you love a man so much that you cannot hold it in then you must tell your mahram, and it is he, that must approach the man on your behalf and not you. You came here, insulting everyone and yelling, that is no trait of a good woman. I am sorry if my brother has offended you, but he actually works in Abuja and is there most of the time. You were wrong to spill that drink on him." Aman said calmly but confidently. She did not care that this woman in front of her was acting up or throwing drinks. She had to tell her what was right, but before Aisha could reply, Khaleefa and Jafar were out of the toilet. He looked so mad, she felt frightened.
"Aisha go home. You have already caused enough damage here. Please don't upset me further." He said as he got his keys. It was obvious that it was time to go home so the girls took their bags and headed for the car. When Jafar settled the bill, he headed to the parking lot as well.
The drive home was a quiet one as everyone in both cars was either too scared to talk or completely shocked. They could not believe their afternoon had took the wrong turn so quickly.

"Salam, I'm sorry our afternoon was ruined, please apologize to everyone for me. I'll try and make it up. I shall see you either later or tomorrow." Jafar's message popped up on Haleema's screen as she sat on her bed.
"Ya Aman, is it just me? Cause I can't believe what just happened. I was even afraid to breathe well in the car cause his eyes were so dark with anger" Maryam said, voicing out everyone's thoughts.
"Some women are totally unbelievable, look at the way she acted out, only because she was not even sure whether he had rejected her or not. She even concluded that he was avoiding her." Aman said as she folded her prayer mat.
"Hmm, May Allah guide us" Haleema said.
"Ameen, It's even Jafar I feel bad for, he'll think our family is delusional" Aman said as she burst out laughing
"Not at all, he just texted me apologizing and saying he'll make it up" Haleema said.
"Toh, Alhamdullilah! Let me start packing before dinner, I completely forgot about work on Monday" Aman said.
