The man experimented on people with abilites dissected them, brainwashed them. Atticus felt sick to his stomach the moment he was forced to enter the buidling, but he had to be the one to go inside. There were sensors made to detect anyone with abilities, mutations or anything.
He wanted to recoil when the hand was placed on his shoulder. To pummel the man, and try and save whoever might still be alive. But he had to follow the plan, and try and get everyone out alive...
