A/N: Sup, homsicles! I hope I'm not the only one that almost cried when reading chapter 10. That'd be awkward if I was.
So this one's a classic! It's "I Want It That Way" by Boyce Avenue but the acoustic cover. I could listen to it 100,000,000 times on repeat since it's MMMMMMMM!
This chapter's a bit lighter so please take pleasure in this slice of friendship!
Pidge pulled up in front of his best friend's house with an expression of sadness. He was now shivering on his seat. He found it hard to stop shaking but tried to calm himself down anyway. Luckily, with the help of a simple breathing exercise, he stopped trembling. Although, he was still on edge.
He looked at the back seat and saw his bags. He wiped off the sorrow that was on his face, afraid that his buddy would make fun of him for crying. He thought about how he would be a burden to him, how this would probably drag him down. He quickly came up with the idea of working day and night, 24/7, to gather enough money to support himself. That way, he didn't need to bother him.
But he knew he was too weak to do this. He felt like he was too weak to do anything.
He tiredly got out of his car and slammed the door shut. He wasn't mad, but sleepy and exhausted from that whole day. He didn't know how to properly to express his emotions. He was a messy mess.
Suddenly, he broke down into tears when he saw Hunk.
He took off his glasses and covered his red eyes with his right hand. He began to sob. He shrunk and caved him as he let the darkness of the night sky corrupt him. He stepped back. He was breathing heavily and wanted to lay down on the grass. His knees were bent and his back was curved down. He slowly sat down on the floor and bawled. He couldn't stand stably anymore. He brought his knees up to his chest and hid his head.
Being broken was something he hadn't felt in a long time.
Hunk quickly ran and sat down in front of him. He gave him a big hug and held him close to his chest, "Hey... it's okay."
Pidge cried loudly as he reached out as well, "What did I do w-wrong?! I just wanted to be myself!!!" He inhaled deeply. "I just wanted to be c-comfortable!!! I didn't want to hurt anybody!!!!"
"I know... I know..."
"It's not..." he released all the tension in his body and collapsed in his arms, "f-fair..."
His friend stayed quiet as he listened to his cries of pain. He didn't know what to say but neither did the other. He let him have his moment for a few minutes. They sat underneath the twinkling stars until the crickets were the only ones making noise.
When it was finally quiet, he asked, "Let's go inside, okay?"
The therapist unhappily nodded. He was defeated and felt like he couldn't smile at the kind gesture. His frown grew with grief and heartache. How was he going to function now?
~~~
Pidge was sitting in the homie living room. It was pretty, dainty, and filled with framed family pictures. There was a medium sized TV in the front along with two separate blinds next to it. In the middle of it, was a small, black coffee table that had a fake cactus on top of it. On the left side of the closed space, hung a beautiful King Hippie Ombré Mandala tapestry on the wall. There was also a huge mahogany (color #420D09) rug on the floor and it looked great. In his eyes, this section of the house was fantastic.
He was sitting on a brown, long couch and was wrapped in a big, grey blanket. He kept to himself as silently watched the show, "Violet Evergarden." Everything was much calmer than before but there was still an aura of uneasiness.
