A/N: Hehe. A 3000 worded chapter in 5 days. That's a bit quicker than the last one. Also, I was fangirling so hard ^^; I hope I wasn't the only one.
This song for today is, "Everybody Knows" by the actual singers: The Wanted. This group (in my opinion) is underrated and deserve more support and love from people. The video is amazing and I think I broke my replay button when I first heard this song.
Love yourselves and enjoy!
"HUNK!!!" Pidge yelled loudly as he opened the front door.
Hunk instantly heard his call and ran to him, "YES?!"
He gasped dramatically.
He was surprised to see the male all sweaty and tired. He looked liked he had just run about 6 miles and was ready to be dunked into a pool of ice water. He appeared to be close to collapsing out of tiredness. He also didn't have his coat on from this morning. It was definitely a different sight to see.
He was also shocked to find that somebody else was with him. He pointed to the person behind him, "Who's that?"
The guy was obviously taller than the therapist but shorter than the startled man. He wore clothes that were close to a hippie's style. He was practically in the same condition his friend was in. He had black, medium lengthened hair, purple eyes, a scar on his cheek, and tired eyes. His skin was the lightest out of the three of them. His glasses were also big and maroon colored. He looked like the polar opposite of the other two.
Keith shyly waved, "Sup. My name's Keith Kogane."
Hunk eyes widened. "Wait, no shit?"
The teen nodded puzzlingly.
"Why are you here and not in the facility..?"
"Oh. Uh..." he itched his forehead, "funny story actually..." he took a deep breath, "I might've... bailed out of there."
"Like... escaped?!"
"Basically, yeah."
"And you helped him??" He turned to Pidge.
He was speechless, "Kind of. It was more of like... I tagged along with him."
He facepalmed then pushed the duo into the house, "Dumbasses!"
When the three of them were inside, he shut and locked the door, then closed the blinds.
He faced Pidge, "Why'd you bring him here?!"
The guy answered with, "I-I'm sorry! I didn't know where else to go and I know that I can trust you!"
Keith suddenly said, "I can just go if you want. I didn't mean to cause trouble..."
Hunk rubbed his temples, "No! Don't! It's fine! I was just surprised!" He worriedly looked around the house, "Stay here!"
He rushed into a different room and grabbed 3 flashlights.
Then, he went back to the others and handed 2 to them. "Turn these on when I turn off the lights, okay?" He eyed them nervously.
They nodded with confusion.
He immediately ran over to the light switch and made the room dark. The pair did as they were told and projected a bright flash from their cylinders. Then, he switched his on too. He had to make sure that his home appeared as empty. He really didn't want to lie to the cops. He moved left and right, turning everything that was functional off. He tried to get rid of any signs of indication that people were there.
After about 30 seconds, the house was pitch black.
Hunk moved the three of them to a corner of his room. They sat and hid in his walk-in closet behind some thick, winter clothes. Their flashlights were still on and there was enough space for them to fully see each other's faces. It was like they were in a school lockdown.
"You parked far from here, right?" He asked his ally. "And where's your coat?"
Pidge replied, still catching his breath, "Yup. *small gasp* All the way at that drug store near Target. The place doesn't have security cameras and it's way too late for there to be people, so I seriously doubt that there'll be anyone who *gasp* witnessed us booking it to your place. And I left it in the car."
"Are you serious? That place is like 15 miles away from here! That's... 5 hours of travel on foot!"
"That's why I left the vehicle there! If it's that far from some checkpoints, then the police wouldn't suspect that we would be at your place. Plus, there was water in my car and we took it with us so we wouldn't die from dehydration."
Keith spoke hesitantly, "We ran most of the way too."
Hunk sighed, "Good job, both of you. I can't imagine what that must've been like."
"You shouldn't. It'll make you barf," he tiredly chuckled.
He laughed, then reached his palm out to him. "I'm Hunk Garrison. I'm a friend of Pidge's."
"Nice to meet you," he said as he shook his hand. Suddenly, something clicked in his head. "Pidge? You mean Ms. Holt, right?"
"Miss?"
"Yeah, miss. You know, the thing that addresses for females?"
"Wait, but I thought-!"
Pidge quickly mouthed to him, "He doesn't know!"
"Ooh!" Hunk realized what was going on. "Yeah, her. Ms. Holt's name is Pidge. Sorry for not making that clear at the beginning."
Keith raised his right eyebrow, "It's... quite alright." He started to fidget with his jacket's sleeve. "So... how long are we gonna have to stay here? You know, in the closet?"
"Oh! Well... do you know the time you guys escaped together?"
"I think it was around 12ish maybe. Although, it's 4 am right now."
"Okay then. So... I'd say for, 45 minutes more? At least until I know it's safe for us to wander in the light. Afterward, I'll take you guys somewhere where no one can find you."
"Where's that somewhere? Do you know where we're gonna stay?"
"I don't know and not really. To be honest, I don't have a clue. I'm still thinking of a place."
"I see..."
Pidge jumped in, "What about the bunker?"
Hunk tilted his head, "What about it?"
"We could hide in there. No one will find us if we're inside that box. Plus, it's not preoccupied with anyone, correct?"
"That's..." he paused, "actually a good idea. I'll take it into consideration. If I do end up putting both of you there, it'll only be your temporary hide-away. The two of you will stay there until we come up with a plan for leaving this place."
"Wait... we?" Keith questioned.
Pidge chuckled, "There's a reason why I brought us here."
Hunk smiled, "I'm gonna help you escape, of course. But... if you guys don't mind, I'd like to tag along too."
"I'm down for that to happen."
"Same here," the youngest spoke. "Just make sure you have a reason to leave, 'kay?"
"Oh trust me, I have a reason. Too many if I say so myself."
"I can't tell if that's a good or bad thing."
"Me neither," he chuckled.
The teen giggled with me, "I have a feeling we're going to get along well."
"Same on my side buddy!"
Keith grinned then decided to change the subject. "So how much have you told him about me?" He asked Pidge.
