"FBI! Stop where you're going!"

Jackie does not stop. She runs, slipping and sliding through the unplowed streets as the yells behind her grow in number and intensity. The bag on her back rips from side to side as she runs, her only possessions weighing her down but not by much. The adrenaline coursing through her veins ensures that she is moving as fast as she possibly can.

"FBI! We will shoot!"

Jackie rounds a corner, hoping for a stretch of road on which she could break away and lose any trace of the authorities. However, she meets three men on the other side of the building, forcing her to immediately stop in her tracks and head the other way, back into town.

Jackie knows she can't hide. The town is small enough to where the FBI could have search dogs in every building within an hour, and she had no doubt they already had all exits to the interstate blocked off. Even if she could hijack another vehicle, her efforts would be fruitless.

As Jackie turns to flee the other way, the first of the three new officers reaches out and grabs her, restraining her arm and pulling her body towards his. Unlike the other authorities chasing her, these officers had yet to pull their guns and were instead engaging in efforts to detain without such drastic measures. However, as the officer whose uniform gives away that he is no FBI agent, only a local officer, brings her down, Jackie kicks out, shaking him off. And before she knows it, she has pulled the pocket knife out of her boot and is slashing at his arm, fighting for her freedom.

The officer yells out in pain and lets go of the girl, allowing her to roll away and stand up, ready to flee again. But with the weapon in her hand and an officer down in front of her, the incoming FBI agents can only draw one conclusion: the girl is dangerous.

Jackie only makes it a few more strides before a bang rings out behind her. There was only one shot fired but as a burning pain in her leg causes the girl to immediately collapse on the concrete sidewalk, she knows just the one is needed.

Through the pain she can make out numerous voices yelling, slowly getting louder and louder. Jackie tries to sit up, her forearms keeping her body from laying flat in the snow, but shouting keeps her from doing much more.

"Stay down, stay down! Hands over your head!"

Jackie's stomach drops, her gut knowing that her two weeks' efforts were now over. She has no choice but to let her face meet the ground and to regretfully bring her hands to her head, letting the pain in her leg grow more intense with every passing second.

Only seconds later she can see multiple pairs of feet standing around her, and just as soon, her wrists are bound behind her back in handcuffs.

She can hear a radio beep, then a man's voice speaking into it. "Suspect has been detained. Holding custody at 4th and Main Street."

Before she knows it, her bag is taken from her, the knife she had lost grip of is being picked up from the ground, and she is being yanked upwards into a standing position. Another man begins speaking, his voice blending into the chaos around Jackie.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

Jackie can't believe her eyes as the once empty streets were filled with multiple cars, some undercover FBI vehicles and some plainly labelled as the local police's. Off down the street, she sees the not so innocent black sedan again, this time with two officers standing by the opened doors.

"You have the right to speak to an attorney and have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to you at government expense."
