Chapter 22:
He asked to give me a ride.
I didn’t say anything, I just sat in the car.
He knows about my mom.
I know that’s the only reason he drove me.
I didn’t say anything.
He played a song on the radio.
I liked it.
I didn’t let him walk me to the door.
It was fine though because I knew he didn’t want to.
I walked inside.
My mom was on the couch.
She was sketching like mad.
She turned around.
She was smiling.
She was smiling madly.
She asks me if I liked her drawing.
I say yes.
I tell her I'll get her a glass of water.
She doesn't object.
I walk into the kitchen.
I get out the pills and crush them.
I put it in her water.
I give it to her.
She drinks it.
Her smile becomes more sane.
