"Mandy, Mr. Jacques is calling for you." Dylan tapped me as I sipped my coffee.
Yes, I excused myself in the middle of Mr. Jacques' discussion so I can get a single freaking cup of coffee. I know that was another added point to my Stupidity Chart for Mr. jacques., but I just had to.
I know it's such a short notice and we only just met, Ms. mandy... But I am here to tell you that starting on Wednesday, I will be your new manager.
Those words were like a broken record that kept repeating inside my head. I didn't know what to feel exactly. It was like a strong mix of happiness, excitement and nervousness. I mean, the guy is the owner of famous fashion lines which sell products that probably cost more than the total money I had before I wasn't an official singer yet... and before I was with Adam.
Yep. The crappy days...
I kinda miss them actually.
"Care to come?" Dylan stopped when he realized that I wasn't following him.
"Oh." I snapped myself back to reality. "Sorry."
I smiled apologetically and followed him down the hallway.
I guess if I want to lose points on my stupidity chart, I have to stop spacing out so much first. That was my problem. I think too much. So much that I become ignorant, I become too sensitive or, I become too assuming.
"Hey, if Mr. Jacques is now my new manager..." I stopped and stared at the floor, suddenly realizing something.
"Then, what does that make you?" I looked at him with concern.
He gave a chuckle.
"Don't worry princess." he put an arm around me as he nudged me to keep walking.
"Mr. Jacques may seem ruthless, but he's not heartless. He made sure that I would get back to being a DJ, the way I wanted to. I already signed a contract with his partner and he's now my manager." he explained.
"Ohh..." I pouted my lower lip.
"In fact, I actually have a new album coming out next year." he gave a wide grin.
"Wow! Oh my gosh. Congratulations!" I hugged him and squealed.
He laughed.
Wow. Finally, he gets his lifelong dream...
"I am so happy for you!" I exclaimed.
He kept laughing, probably out of shyness. He was always like that. If he gets any kind of compliment, he'll just laugh. Laugh, laugh, and laugh. He doesn't say anything. Just laugh.
"Done?" we were interrupted by a familiar voice.
We turned around to see Mr. Jacques waiting impatiently, his face filled with irritation.
Immediately, Dylan and I fixed ourselves like Mr. Jacques was actually stupid enough to let us off the hook by doing that.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Yes sir." we said in synchronicity.
"Good." he rolled his eyes and walked away.
Dylan and I exchanged glances, knowing right away that we should follow him.
The next five hours, Mr. Jacques introduced me to all his terms, his plans, his goals and some people that he said would be able to help me "someday". Some of those persons were nice and friendly but... others (most of them) were equally as bitchy as Mr. Jacques.
But I knew it wasn't their fault. I mean, to get to the top you really have to somehow acquire a more strong personality.
I glanced at the cute clock that hung on Mr. Jacques' office. It was a black and round clock with little white cats splattered on it. It was probably the only object in the room, that was light and casual.
Wait.
I took a second look.
Shit. It's 8:30 pm.
I'm late for my date with Adam.
"Sir..." I interrupted Jacques' discussion.
He looked at me with much impatience.
I decided to continue anyways.
"Uh... I'm late for this thing..." I said cautiously.
"For pete's sake Mandy, just speak up." he groaned.
"Adam and I-"
"Okay, stop." He cut me off.
Sure, tell me to speak up then tell me to stop.
Reeeaaal nice -_-
"Look honey, you have to set your priorities straight. Celebrity love is never real. It seems like that at first but..." he glanced at his side and shrugged his shoulders.
"All I'm saying is: if he really loves you, and I'm not saying he does, well he'll understand." he gave a smile.
Either a fake and bitchy smile, or a really concerned one.
Hmm... Hard to say.
I bit my lower lip and took out my phone.
I stared at the wallpaper, which was the two of us in front of the pizza place in West Hollywood. Yeah, I still remember what he did there.
Omggg. <3
Okay, stop. No time to fangirl.
I pressed the "Create message" button.
Okay, this is for the best.
And it's only for this night.
I started typing.
Hey Adam, I am so sorry but I can't make it tonight...

FanfictionMandy, I love you... I'm sorry." Adam said quietly and took my hand. I let him. But I kept on avoiding his eye. "Well, I do too Adam." I finally looked into his eyes but my vision blurry from the tears. "I love you so much. But I just-" I sobbed. He...
