A/N: Here is where the sequel actually begins. I hope you enjoy the chapter.
Pete POV
I still can't believe that Ae is really here. To top it off, he is on his way to my apartment. I still can't believe that Max just handed over my spare key to him and told him all the pass codes to get into the building. Well, I could have stopped him, but I was still in shock and truthfully, I didn't want to. I wanted Ae to stay with me, but I was just too shy to say it out loud. I'm so thankful that Max made the decision for me.
As I sit at my desk, Max chuckles, "Are you going to be able to even concentrate on work or not? If not, you can take a half day off and go home to be with Ae."
Fai quickly adds, "I'm sure Ae would like it if you left early to be with him. He did pack all his things and move hours away from his own home just to be with you."
Oh, don't remind me. I still can't believe that this is really happening. I know that I have dreamt that it would happen, but I never in a million years thought that it would actually happen.
I blush and look down at my keyboard. I honestly don't know how I'm going to get through the rest of today, because I can't stop thinking about him. However, tomorrow won't be any different than today. Well, it may even be worse. After spending a night alone with him in my apartment, I already know that I'm going to have to force myself to get up and get ready for work. This is so much worse than when we were just talking over the phone, but it is also a hundred times better.
I try to calm my mind and stop thinking about Ae as I take a deep breath. I look at Fai and Max and muster all my courage, I confidently reply, "No. I'm going to finish out my day before going home. Plus, we have some deadlines that are due today that we have to get done before we can leave today. Did you guys forget already?"
Max and Fai smirk at each other and they wiggle their eyebrows, before they turn back to me with a wide smile. Fai chuckles, "Well, if we can't leave until the project is done, we better hurry up and finish it. I'm afraid that you will go crazy if you have to wait too long before you can go home."
Max nods his head. "I agree. Just look at Pete right now. He is all flustered and antsy. What do you think he will be like after working another 4 or 5 hours?"
Fai smiles and then suddenly pretends like she is analyzing me before she chirps, "I'm going to wager that he is going to be a complete mess."
Oh, now they are just making fun of me. I really won't be that bad. Come on. I can handle it.
***
It has been almost 6 hours and I'm going completely batty. Both my body and my mind want to just get up and run out of the building and back to my apartment where I can immediately make sure that Ae is fine. I never realized that I could have feelings be this strong and overpowering. I think my whole body is coming unglued in anticipation of going home.
When Max finally chimes, "I think that is it," I don't even stop to make sure that he is being honest. I quickly grab my things and before he can change his mind, I'm out the door. I have to get home as fast as possible.
I dash to my car and in record time, I'm back at my apartment building. As soon as I stop the vehicle, I'm out of the car in lightning speed and up to my apartment. I rush in and before I can say anything a wonderful smell of food quickly invades me nose. Oh, this is good.
