"So, um, do you like, purr or something?" You asked Hybrid!Jeno,

Jeno rolled his eyes, his black ears turned back as he frowns at you, his tail moving slowly back and forth. Jeno was honestly surprised that you're taking all of this very well. He didn't mean to reveal himself to you, but his body was acting weird these past few days. You being his best friend knows when something is going on with him. 

When he woke up from a long nap, he found his black ears appearing on his head, and his long black tail wiggling from his behind while he was in human form, and spoiler alert, that's not normal. He tried to transform back into his real form - which is a black panther - when he did, he transformed back to his human form but the ears and tail are still there. This never happened to Jeno before, so to say that he was panicking was an understatement. He was freaking out. Like, really freaking out. 

He was supposed to hang out with you today, he even prepared a matching outfit with you. In spite of that, he tried everything he could to try and hide this problem of his. He puts on his oversized hoodie, but it still matches your dress code, and some ripped jeans. His head was covered in a beret so to hide his ears.

At first, it was working well. You and Jeno played in the arcade peacefully, drank some sweet boba tea and even ride bicycles together. But after that bicycle ride, his ear somehow felt itchy. He tried to sneak some scratches here and there when you weren't looking. Few of them were a success but this one scratch blew it all. To his dismay, you did notice his harsh scratches here and there and you were a bit worried that he might actually hurt himself if this scratching continues. 

Walking up to a tree in Jeno's backyard, you skipped towards the tree, leaning down on the trunk as you finally settled down. Patting the spot beside you, you looked at Jeno who seemed nervous. You were about to ask him, but he abruptly lays down beside you, his feet on top of your thighs and his head far from yours. You were confused by the sudden weird posture he has. You noticed that he was scratching his head through the beret. You suggest that Jeno should take the beret off, afraid that maybe there's an insect inside it. Jeno refused many times, but you couldn't handle seeing him scratching his head harshly. 

So you yanked the beret off of Jeno's head and saw two black cat-like ears and widened your eyes. Jeno was giving you the same expression, taking the beret from your hand and putting it on top of his head. He gave you a nervous laugh, playing it cool. But he knows that you weren't that gullible, so here you guys are. You listening to Jeno's explanation, and Jeno being all blushy when you found out what he is.

"I don't purr, that's a cat's thing, I told you I'm a black panther." Jeno groaned,

"But, aren't they basically the same thing? the only difference is the size." You shrugged, hugging your knees closer to your chest,

"But I'm NOT a cat," Jeno emphasized, his ears moved forward, his tail now tapping the grass underneath him.

"Whatever you say, Kitty Cat," You grinned, patting his head. Jeno was about to say something when you abruptly moved your hand underneath his chin, giving the exposed skin soft scratches.

Jeno's body tensed but immediately relaxed at your touch. His ears were now droopy and his eyes closed. Without him realizing it, Jeno's head was now on your lap as he nudges your stomach with his head. You chuckled and played with his fluffy ears, making him sigh.

"You're exactly like a cat, Jeno," You chuckled, 

You were met with silence as you softly pet Jeno's head to an unknown beat.

"So, do you bathe with water or by licking your whole body?" You asked,

"I lick my own body when I'm in panther form, I bathe normally in human form," he answered, barely opening his eyes as he focused on your touch.

"Is it tiring? you know, keeping your human form?"

"Doesn't suck up that much energy, so it's fine."

You moved your hand to his cheeks, giving it gentle swipes. You suddenly stopped and widen your eyes in disbelief when you could feel him vibrate underneath your touch.

"Jeno, you just purred!" you exclaimed to which Jeno immediately lifted his body up and stared at you wide eyed.

"No, I didn't!" He denied. You gave him a smirk and caressed his cheeks once more, and there it was his purr. Jeno immediately covered his mouth, trying to cover his sound.

"See! You purred!"

"No! get away from me!"

"Yah! Jeno, comeback! I wanna hear it again!"

"No! Stay away!"

"Jeno, Please!"

"No!"

"JENO!"

"Y/N!"
